Berry Punch, an investigative journalist, and alcoholic, due to stress from work, and the tiring job of being a single mother, has been low on cash, barely getting by, she needs a better life for her and her daughter, Berry Pinch. She had heard rumors about Neighsburg Hospital, in the nearby town. Rumor has it that the doctors there had been ordering illegal substances, and performing experiments on their patients. Seeing an opportunity to finally not only become a respected journalist, but get a decent paycheck, she sets off, but will what she find be what she had hoped for, or is something bigger going on here?

Plot twist, you can't get to the center of a tootsie pop.
This is a pretty solid concept, but if I am to be blatantly honest, it suffers from severe pacing issues and would have worked more better in a longer format, in order to properly mature the dark/horror aspect of it. Despite that, It does pretty well as it is, although it is quite jumpy in regards to time and place as well, which is somewhat of a negative attribute as it never immerses you into the story. However, if you ever planned on rewriting this into a multi-part story, I'd be in complete support of you.
