Twilight Velvet is a well respected author, editor, and contributor, having got her start with the help of her colleague A.K. Yearling. Yet as time goes on, short stories and co-writing haven't fulfilled her desire to stand out.

Thus, with the support and advice of her family and friends, she sits down and creates her first independent series.

Pseudo Facade, gentleman thief of Las Pegasus.

this is really good, I don't know why no one is commenting on it?

5581660 I'm not sure how I missed this comment for over a week, but thanks for taking the time to comment.

I think it's mostly because it's A) an all OC story, and B) it isn't really all that well advertised and thus probably isn't too well known. Either way, try the bets I can to make this acceptable at the very least. It is my attempt at an OC only story and I plan for it to be an ongoing series. It originally came from the idea that it was an in-universe book series written by Twilight Velvet.

Right now, I'm very behind in other projects so I can't really say when the next update for this story will be, though I am about 2/3 of the way through chapter 3.

You made that art work? C'est magnifique!:pinkiegasp:

5701493 I always do the artwork for my project. more should be added to the chapters eventually when I have the time, I just have RL things and other projects to do.

5701921 Darn, RL thingies... Anyways looking forward to it!

5702300 My job, my engagement, and my most major project takes up most of my time nowadays. I'll try to get more of this story series quick as possible. Hope you enjoy it. :yay:

To those of you following this story already, I've decided to make a few changes regarding the series.

First off, I should explain that I originally meant for this to span a lot of individual sequels. But the more I thought about it, I decided it was easier to have all the series contained into one story. Heart of Stained Glass is the first story in this series but after it's finished, the next set of updates will be the sequel and so on. It will make more sense when we get there, hopefully. So the stories will have the name of the arc along with the chapter of said arc.

Because of this, I'm going to be making a few changes to the story title and description to accommodate this. So please keep that in mind. If you are just joining us in this story, you will probably not notice anything.

Lastly, I hope to have some artwork to put into the chapters and I may include concept art of the characters and such in the authors notes. Be sure to look out for those. Anyway, hope you enjoy the series as much as I enjoy writing it for you all. :raritywink:

Finally got around to reading this... I've had a stack of updates piling up and this got lost among more frequently updating stories. I will say I was kind of surprised to have the new chapter in front. I think it fits rather nicely, but I can't tell if I would have had a different experience had this not been the fourth chapter that I read. I almost feel like this /should/ be chapter four, somehow. It'd give you the leverage to have Psuedo Facade stories, and then a foil against a "real life" chapter every so often. It would be pretty cool to see how life events influenced Velvet's writing and everything. But hey, I'm just talking out of my hat... I'm sure I'll enjoy every word of it as we keep moving fowards! Keep up the good work!

6316791 We appreciate the feedback. :pinkiehappy:

To be honest, the lack of updates recently was because of the story overgoing a major overhaul and planning. As the story now has two writers working on it rather than just myself, the story and premise has undergone some major changes, thus we decided to put out this type of chapter.

A majority of the story is going to be the novels that Velvet writes, but there are going to occasionally be chapters with her in the real life too, such as reading fan mail and such. Believe me, "Heart of Stained Glass" is just one of the books in the series she writes. :raritywink:

That said, HoSG chapter 4 should be out relatively soon.... Hopefully.

it's funny how Sleuth goes to the one person that irritates him, to demand answers from him.

Did I miss something? Because I'm pretty sure that's not what the story initially was.

6507013 Quite a lot has changed mid production.

Very interesting idea, good intro.
And why do I keep picturing a little Moondancer as the smart filly with glasses that bought the book? :pinkiecrazy:

Really liked the chapter, but then again I do have a weak spot for Master Thieves stories. :derpytongue2:

“And with that said, I would like to issue a public statement, particularly to a certain pony who I know is out there watching this. I am of course talking about the master thief Pseudo Facade. You know the history behind this piece of jewelry. I, Soprano Serenity, challenge you to steal the real thing before the date of my wedding.”

Hehe she's got spunk. :rainbowdetermined2:

Very nice work so far, will be looking forward to more, good work.

Very nice chapter, glad to see you updating again.

Only one problem with this:

Oh, and uh, check by the way.”
Realizing that it was his turn, Bluff quickly moved one of his rooks between his king and his opponent’s knight.

You don't play chess do you? Because you cannot block a knight by putting a piece between it and the king, the knight jumps over other pieces, so he would have to either take out the knight or move the king. :twilightblush:

7505230 Oh whoops, that was actually part of a first draft, a section that was supposed to be omitted. It was supposed to be the bishop, not knight, that was attacking the king, I missed that small detail in editing and it unfortunately made me look silly.:twilightblush:

Thank you for catching that.
