Sad and heartwarming at the same time. I'd like to say it was a good morning read, but given I now have to go to work with teary eyes, I'm not so sure if it was good for morning... evening would be probably better.
I have to applaud you on how you wrote the characters. Despite the short length, they were all spot on, painted in their typical traits. Thank you for this story!
On a side note, I think maybe a 'Mystery' tag would fit this story for all the unexplained bits and pieces.
