This story is a sequel to A Convenient Arrangement
Royal jelly is the lifeblood of a hive. It nourishes the larvae, and allows miracles of bio–engineering to take place,. Adjutant needs more royal jelly than her fledgling colony can produce to become a queen, but her former master, Queen Chrysalis, would never help a traitor. The time has come to seek aid from other hives, but while none like Queen Chrysalis, treason is not looked upon lightly either.
While this is a sequel, familiarity with the previous story is not required.

I find it amusing that Ace Gambit is going to fill the role of a diplomat or would that be a diplomat's aide since Adjutant is leading this mission?

Adjutant's description of Ace is spot on. I like the headcanon on the uses for royal jelly. Parallels bees, which I think is a good choice for drawing parallels to the changeling hive structure.

I really like Comet Chaser and her 'modifications' to Blueblood's ship so far. I really want to see if one of them happens to be a booster of sorts for quick getaways though I guess I'll have to be patient and wait for future updates to find out.

Interesting chapter. Nice to see a fictional superior for once that isn't an uptight a-hole, and can actually roll with the punches when their underlings have does something 'mixed,' for lack of a better word.
Well, the Princess might pull something later on but with the Queen being so agreeable(or at least acting the part) things should hopefully proceed smoothly in this hive.
p.s: I kind of forgot to ask but in this story, are the changeling queens' lifespan longer than the average changeling?

That was a clever plan, even if she would have escaped the consecuences would have be minimal. Of course a crazy pilot and overcharged changeling are dificult to predict XD
