ok. 1. for some reason sonic avoids using most chaos based ability's like the plague.
2. the sonic boost is a factor and we are considering that in the math.
3. he IS sonic your right, but that might just be his biggest shortcoming, sonic is really arrogant and almost sickeningly cocky. he has no idea what Rainbow Dash is capable of and WILL underestimate her. all that aside he IS the fastest thing alive (By mobian standards) all i can say is that the race WILL be a good one, and we SHOULD have chapter 3 up in a few days.

If you're the editor it's your job to correct all mistakes, the dividing of the paragraphs being one of them. By my policy I give all stories a chance if they are well-written and/or have an interesting plot. This story is somewhere between not interesting and almost interesting, being a little (and I mean little) more leaned towards the latter.
On a side note, because my inner nerd demands it: Safe to say, Sonic is by far the fastest thing ever to be deviced in fiction. He could easily have beaten Rainbow Dash in a race. He would be in Canterlot and back in Ponyville before she even got halfway there.
Despite my soft critisicm I'm still tracking. If only because I would love to see Dash's ego trampled into the mud.

I normally don't go for crossovers, on the basis that from the ones I have read, 9 times out of 10 it fails miserably to portray the awesomeness of both things and it ends up just being ridiculous and stupid. I was kind of unsure whether to pick this one or not because I LOVE sonic, but then I saw the picture, Rainbowdash racing Sonic? PRICELESS! Too good to pass up! and the story itself just got better! True, there are a few grammar and spelling errors here and there but never-the-less you have one my admiration with this story! Great job!

Honestly, I think in an actual race, sonic would have won. Sure Rainbow Dash is a very fast flyer, but it takes Sonic little effort to break the sound barrier, hence his name. From what I've seen, it takes Rainbow Dash a good amount of effort to make a Sonic Rainboom. As fast as Rainbow Dash is, Sonic the Hedgehog is still Sonic the Hedgehog.
808083 ok, so i got the results of the math here. after playing the games (mostly unleashed and colors) we guessed sonics average speed at about... ~700~ I'd say. and if hes boosting he would come in at around ~1070~.
For rainbow dash it was a bit harder, thankfully with a bit of knowledge of mach physics i could say her speed Nonrainboom would clock in around ~520~ but when she shifts into the sonic rainboom her speed doubles up to ~1040~
Rainbow Dash top speed: ~1040~
Sonic The Hedgehog top speed: ~1070~
And that is what we are basing the race on, rainbow is fast but sonic IS faster but just only.
(also were saying rainbow can use the sonic rainboom at will after season 2)
