Vinyl Scratch received an amazing pair of headphones from Octavia, and she swore the cans were god sent. Unfortunately, Principal Celestia had confiscated her new eargasm inducers, and she won't be getting them soon.
Vinyl decided to take them back.

Ah, classic. I kinda wanna see how she deals with Octavia, though. Wasn't that the reason she put them back? This feels kinda pointless without any closure on her confrontation with Octavia.
Huh. I can't rate the story for some reason. well, here's a thumbs up.
Good story, few spelling errors, overall a nice slice-of-life story, although it seems incomplete. You might want to add a second chapter with Vinyl explaining this to Octavia and showing where Vinyl went after she followed Luna.

7777657 That's the only point you'll see her talk, more over with Fluttershy. It's not really a strong evidence when there's three other movies where she never talks. In Rainbow Rocks she was one of the major characters, but never spoke.
Then again, this short story is just my take on Vinyl. Maybe she does talk at some point, but we need more EG to know.

I watched a panel with the writers as part of an extra on the s5 season discs thing.
Point is, a question came up asking why Pon3 was mute,
And the writers said that she wasn't mute, just that not talking felt good for her character.
So yeah, anytime she says something it therefore must mean that it's not character building
Therefore anything she says is mean.
Therefore she only talks to Fluttershy's because she doesn't get angry.

Discord might not be in EG but the Fluttershy's characteristics for both worlds are presumably the same. Therefore Fluttershy's would be able to Tolerate an offensive vinyl.
Not that Vinyl is canonically offensive in ANY way, this is merely over-over-speculation of a theory that has potential, But is a MAAAJOR theory. ALSO MERRY CHRISTMAS it's 1.31am here in Oz so... Idk what time it is in America.
