With no family left alive, Scootaloo prepares herself for spending the Hearth's Warming holiday in an orphanage for the first time. Even though she's around other ponies, never in her life has she felt so alone.
Thankfully, Rainbow Dash comes along and tells Scootaloo that she'll be able to spend the holiday with her family. However, what they have in store for the young filly is something that Scootaloo never expected to happen in a million moons.

You know this makes more sense then Dash adopting her. Scoot's is 9-12 in the series and Dash is by now about 19 so it makes sense. Great story as well!
