Almost two years after first arriving in Ponyville, Twilight suddenly receives word that her 'field studies' must soon come to an end. Needing to prepare a final report for the Princess, Twilight must collect all the wisdom she has gathered from being with her closest friends in an attempt to truly understand the Elements, true friendship, and the nature of magic. However, as she plunges herself deeper into the subject, Twilight begins to realize that the underpinnings of their friendship is far more complex than anyone, even Princess Celestia, ever knew.

I don't why I worte it like that, but I meant it.
I both like and dislike this on a conceptual level. I like that this is serving as a sort of cap-stone to the series, but I dislike that it's coming to close (as well as the seeming lack of bittersweet one would expect(I know you pushed it off into the future, but still)). Overall, though, this is a pretty interesting story to attempt since you have to pretty much boil quite a bit down into rational nuggets of truth. I think it carries some risk since Twilight's probably going to be de-emphasized to a degree since she's serving as the objective viewer and all. She seemed a bit manipulative in this part as well (seems like she's more for her work than her friend, it being a lucky coincidence that both come out seemingly ahead), which doesn't bear favorable tidings should this be the accepted pattern for the chapters to come.
Anyways, it's gone pretty well so far, nothing overly glaring. I'm feeling a bit reserved in my judgment here, but not so with my curiosity. Nice job so far.
(Also, Pinkie teaching where ponies come from to the equivalent of elementary school kids? I will be smiling for days. (the thesi must be found!))
