Late at night, Diamond Tiara hears a voice. It talks to her, whispers into her ears, but she does not know what the voice wants from her.
The voice is familiar to her and yet at the same time alien. Scary, yet comforting.
And, most importantly, it is persistent. Clearly, the voice has to tell her very important things, but it speaks in riddles.
Behind that voice is a gruesome truth, but also an opportunity. An opportunity to change events and the lives of ponies.
Diamond Tiara has five nights to help. Five nights, no more.

Even before I start to read this, it sounds like FNaF 4.

Is everything that mentions "Five Nights" considered related to FNaF? That was actually a worry I always had for this fic, that it will come across as a pony version of FNaF due to the description and that no one will read it because the ponyfic community is oversaturated with FNaF crossovers and pony versions. You are the first one who makes that comparison.
The story is completely unrelated to FNaF, though.

Never mind, this is NOTHING like FNaF 4. That ending, though.

Every good horror story needs a shocking reveal at the end. I hope you enjoyed it.^^

This was such a good story, both shattering and yet warming to the heart despite the tragic ending.

I am curious as to the ending, though.
I understand the Diamond Tiara at the beginning of the story differs from that at the end, for the former dies but remains in a state of pergatory.
What I am curious about is this: Has Diamond Tiara come to exist in a loop cycle where there are two incarnations of herself, or is each incarnation continuing on in time.

Here's the thing, the Diamond Tiara at the beginning of the story hears the broken warnings of a deceased incarnation of herself. In the end, she dies and becomes that spirit reaching out to another living incarnate of herself. However, I am unsure as to whether there are at least two spirits now in the state of pergatory, or there still is only one spirit and one living.
You see, if time continues and more spirits accumulate with each Diamond Tiara who dies, Spoiled Rich would probably notice the trend of rebirths or resurrections. As far as I could tell, Spoiled Rich is not aware of this; therefore, Diamond Tiara is in fact in a repeating time loop, right?

If, however, time continues to pass, then I feel the Diamond Tiara who dies at the end would either meet or contribute to the life force of the incarnation contacting her at the beginning. If this is so, the dead may be able to have a stronger connection to the world of the living, right? In that way, there might be a greater chance the currently alive filly may suceed in surviving and possibly break the trend.
Otherwise, the cycle continues to occur and Spoiled Rich has more blood on her hooves than just one filly.

Huh?
Wait, but time is repeating in a loop; with events constantly repeating as the same events, right?

I'm sorry; I am just so into speculation and analysis.
Forgive me, please.

I think that it is definitely a time loop because it would not make sense otherwise. So the first time that this happened, I am assuming that there was no spirit trying to save her life because she did not die yet. Once she died the first time, her spirit went back in time to warn her. I am confused about the second time though (Assuming this is the second time because we don't know. it could be the billionth time). Would her new spirit replace the old one, would her new spirit join up with the older one to become more tangible in the material world, or would there be two ghosts?
I doubt there is more than one ghost since she would surely have seen the older ghost at the end. I don't see any evidence for her ghost becoming more effective at warning her either, so I am throwing that one out of the window. I think that the loop just goes on forever lol. Diamond Tiara will need to rely on some chaos theory for something to eventually change.
That just leaves the question: Who or what is helping DIamond Tiara by reviving her? :derpyderp2:

Thank you for your comment, it is amazing how deep you got into the story and how much you care about finding out what happened here. I also hope you'll still read this, with the long time that has passed before I could finally resolve the issue of comments I missed responding to since 2018.

Diamond Tiara is not stuck in a time loop. What happens is that her soul, after dying, somehow travels back into the past, where she tries to save her past self from being murdered. But she fails, because she is not used to being a ghost and not yet good at using her spiritual energy to make her words and sentences properly understandable, that is why she doesn't say much in the first night and why there are gaps in her sentences in the second night. So her past self dies and the cycle continues.

And Diamond Tiara, her spirit, also can't save herself, like she is hoping for. When she travels back in time, she arrives in an alternate timeline. She gets the chance to save the life of her past self there, but her past self is not the Diamond Tiara who has already died, it's a Diamond Tiara who lives in a different timeline that is separate from the timeline she came from. So even if she would succeed to save the life of her past self, she would still remain dead and only her other, alternate self would stay alive.

There are infinite living Diamond Tiaras and infinite dead Diamond Tiaras and also infinite Spoiled Riches, because there are infinite timelines, and at each occasion of Diamond Tiara dying in a timeline, her spirit travels back in time and enters another timeline, where the cycle continues and she once again tries to save the life of an alternate, past self of her. Just to fail once again for the reason I described, because each Diamond Tiara has only died and become a spirit moments ago when she travels back into the past and into an alternate timeline.

For what happens to each Diamond Tiara spirit after the five nights, they all simply go into the afterlife. Of which there are also infinite ones, one afterlife in each timeline.

That just leaves the question: Who or what is helping DIamond Tiara by reviving her? :derpyderp2:

I don't exactly know this myself. Horror always comes with an element of mystery and it's the unknown that's the most horrific. But I was thinking a higher power, perhaps a god, who wanted to give Diamond Tiara a chance. That is who the voice saying "FIVE NIGHTS!" after Diamond Tiara got pulled into the light comes from.
It is a cruel chance, however, because while Diamond Tiara is being given hope to save herself and return to life, all she can potentially save is an alternate self of her, so I am not sure whether this entity is good or evil or something in-between.

That "Five nights" thing is like from the horror game called 'Granny'

I don't know this game. Have I coincidentally ponified something?^^

The game named "Granny". Your objective is to escape the house before your fire days/night thingy run out.
