I’m cuckoo for Coco Pommel!

Indigo Zap was so confident that her school would win the Friendship Games that she made a bet with a CEO. A very high-stakes bet. One so bad that everyone in her school was forced to transfer to CHS and shudder as they realized what their alma mater was about to become.

At least the CEO was nice enough to give them all free tokens, right?

In which the author had an absolutely ridiculous dream and decided to go for it against her better judgement.

It takes some true insanity to do what you just did, my friend.

Insanity that I would LOVE to see in future.

I already like Sunlight a ton, but I started reading Long Road to Friendship this week, and it really got me in the mood.

I wish there really was a Pokémon charm machine. I'd want a Sylveon.

Amusing but implausible. Indigo Zap may not be eighteen, which means that she can legally enter into a legal contract, and would require her parents’ permission. She also has no ownership rights to Crystal Prep, and thus cannot bet it to someone such as the owner of Chuck E. Cheese’s.

Valuable insight, but I didn’t really intend for this story to be legally plausible. Just...odd.

I would sincerely like to know how much of this comes directly from your dream.

Basically everything but the ball pit trivia and the Five Nights at Freddy’s ramblings. The first one I put in because I procrastinated once by looking at the Chuck E. Cheese Wikipedia page (which I got all the Pinkie facts from), and the second because we have a frozen custard place called Freddy’s in my area and that was my first thought when I heard about the game. (Which I will likely never play, as I’m not a horror type person at all.)

The giant Chuck E. Cheese with gachapon machine (though not exactly Pokémon, I came up with that later) was one dream, and Carl the ticket-stealer was another. Chuck E Cheese’s tends to show up in my dreams at least once every two months, strangely enough. One idea I had with it that came from a dream that I didn’t use was that it would be modeled after the Roman Coliseum. Arcades shaped like Coliseums would be awesome, but it didn’t fit the “"slightly upscale, but still normal-looking” image I had for the one in this story.

This is weird in a good way.

Interestingly, I don't think I've ever been in a Chuck E Cheese. Even more interestingly, just yesterday, I watched a short video about one of the founders, who apparently is now experimenting with new types of fuel, and accidentally blew up his lab.

THIS WAS SO WORTH PUTTING ON MY READ LATER LIST LAST NIGHT!

Four machines full of capsules—“gachapons,” as Twilight remembered they were called—lay in front of her, all advertising the same prizes. Cell phone charms like these were the huge friendship trend even when she’d still gone to Crystal Prep, but she’d never had anyone to exchange them with until now. Of course, with everything they’d been through, Sunset was the first person that came to mind to get them with as her best friend in the group of seven.

What is this, Japan? I didn't think Gashapon machines existed outside of it.

Well, there are still capsule machines in America (where I'm from), but we don't call them that. (We don't really have a name for them, to be honest.) I called them that in here mainly for the "pone" pun.

This is such a great laugh. Hahahahaha.
