I suppose it would, but in all honesty, I could never decide on a single song for many parts, thus I just decided to let the reader have the chance to just shuffle the playlist or something or choose what they might like best for a particular part's vibes.
It should be noted that the crossover tag is because this story has been heavily influenced by elements in Halo, not because it is specifically a crossover.But... There isn't a crossover tag.

I understand your disappointment, but don't worry, it wasn't for nothing. Spike plays an important role to the story, too. I didn't kill him off for no reason. I won't spoil anything, but I'd say just pay attention to what happens after he's infected. It'll all come back together, every plot point's in use (:

Sorry that I can't quell your disappointment. All I can say is that while its noted that Spike fans might feel robbed, he is 100% destined to become infected by the Flood and subsequently die in every 'iteration' centered around Pinkie Pie. However, I will stay open-minded to exploring options where he may have gotten to dip his feet into the PROJECT program as well, so perhaps we might see tidbits of what that could have looked like.

Because there is no pony anatomy in this universe. I recognize that you were here from the beginning stages of this story, when the characters were still being envisioned as a human-pony anthropomorphic cross. I scrapped that idea in favor of them all being human with their canon colors as their pigment.
Therefore, it only made sense to scrap the name "Pony"ville in lieu of something more representative of their human anatomy -- hence, "The Ville".
