Liking your blending of the Samurai culture into the story so far. Though, there are few grammar mistakes here and there, overall it's a good story and I look forward to reading more chapters in the ongoing saga of Prey Stalker.
I'm liking what your doing so far. Especially blending the samurai traditions together with this new changeling. I've always been fascinated with Japan and it's culture especially its warriors the Samurai and the Shinobi. I even had an English copy of the famous The Book of Five Rings by Miyamoto Mushashi. Sadly I lost it years back during one of trips to Florida.
I can't wait to see where you take this story!

8159308 Many inspirations helped make this story. A big inspiration was the game 'For Honor' but most inspirations came from the youtube channels 'Metatron' and 'Giajin Goomba' who have extensive knowledge in samurai and japanese culture. I myself have been studying japanese for years (not fluent) and have always been interested in Samurai folklore. Prey's character was inspired by the scale like armor and bug ornaments they would sometimes have on their helmets. So I made him a samurai and made this story.

Absolutely thrilling! Plus i'm now a bit concerned about the Oni mask and the dragons, they both spell trouble.
Like the one ring from, "Lord of the rings"... That mask holds a corrupted power.
Also we'll be expecting a visit from those dragons again and possibly in greater numbers...

Well no. Mainly because its kind of unclear what "happened" to AJ's parents. And with Pry's background, he killed a "family" that had children, their children. And that family were the only ponies that Prey killed under chrysalis' rule. I did say he killed the parents and children.
So if that family was AJ's parents, then AJ and Big Mac would have been there. So no. I can confirm that he did not kill Bright Mac and Pear Butter.
Really enjoy this story will continue to track.

I have wondered about this as well. I would of course want an accent of Japanese origin. However, it boggle my mind as to which accent I would want them to have. There is the stereotypical accent of medieval Japan where it sounds very scratchy around the throat area. Then there are modern accents which have their voice at a natural high pitch. And then there's anime.....I immediately said no.
For Prey and the samurai in the fic as a whole, I went with the whole militaristic and medieval Japanese accent. It is stereotypical yes but I wanted his origin as close to traditional samurai culture as possible.
