When the business aspects of Rarity's career begin to dampen her spirits, she turns to her closest confidant, Fluttershy, for a sympathetic ear and It turns out that the pegasus has a very good idea about how to get her enthusiasm back. Unfortunately this sets Rarity on a crash course with emotions she had been trying very hard to keep under wraps. How will Ponyville cope when the prim and proper unicorn spends a summer giving in to her wilder, more passionate side? And how will Rarity cope when the desire to turn a friendship into something more becomes overwhelming?

Aw, thank you! I think my old writing's lost to time, it was a good while ago and confined to old message boards. I was pretty heavily in an emo phase at the time tho, so am kind of glad! On the plus side I am chipping away at a short comedy piece I add to when I hit a mental block with this one, so more fics will be incoming!

Oh don't worry, that particular awkward conversation's gonna happen soon enough. There's also the small matter of Sweetie Belle visiting eventually and the not so small matter of a certain immortal friend of Fluttershy's being ominously quiet, too.
Another thing worth mentioning, I enjoy all the little tidbits like discussions, events or just random mentions that bear no relation to the main plot whatsoever scattered throughout the story - lots of people are opposed to such writing on the basis that it detracts from the story but I say it's a good thing because, when done organically, it makes the world and the characters feel much more alive and makes it look like the world is not revolving around the protagonists.

Oh I understand that one, honestly some moments that stick to me the most in stories are scenes that do little to advance the plot but flesh out the world and characters instead. I was aiming to have a good chunk of that, glad you like the results of what's usually too much daydreaming on my part!

Ha, I was just thinking about this recently, this is an interesting point about Flarity that I haven't seen anyone address yet. Good thinking, perhaps you should further develop on this aspect later.
I'm rather upset that this story has so little views since I've enjoyed it more than most works I've read here. Don't let that bother you too much, though, there are still people who appreciate your work. 😉

Ah, don't worry about me ever getting disheartened, I know I just don't have the time to promote myself as much as I'd like, that there's a handful of folk willing to come along for the ride is more than enough for me!
As for the Rarity thing... I am going to go more into that eventually, don't you worry!
I hope someone decides to try to draw Rarities' view of Fluttershy. If it has been done already could someone send me the link?
