The dialogue seemed a bit formal too formal to be Rainbow Dash at points, but the rest of the writing was done rather well, especially the little details you included throughout the story to liven the scene. I also felt that the way you described things was unique enough to keep things interesting.

I made a conscious decision not to play Rainbow as the brash self-assured character we know and love, but instead tried to show that her brazen exterior was only a defense mechanism while she pined for her true love. Once she had begun her relationship with Rarity, I reasoned that she could afford to lower her guard as it was no longer needed.

I agree with Doubt, it's a true shame that there are so few comments for such a great read. Not only is your voice interesting, also the size of the story you chose, medium. You could have gone into far more detail about their courtship, or you could've gone much shorter, though that often winds up feeling like we're being told about events rather than watching them unfold, but instead you chose something in between, something just right. This is a ship that I would'nt've believed, but you sold it and sold it well, nice work.

Thank you for completing this. So often, the best Raridash writing leaves me hanging. I haven’t even read this second part yet, but at least I know there’ll be a resolution.
Certainly a fun, fluffy fic, and satisfying to any Raridash fan. However, there was a lot of telling rather than showing. More courtship details would have helped. If I hadn’t come from other Raridash stories and brought with me all the reasons these two work as a couple, I might question it here.
…and where’s your description of the actual wedding dresses?! All we have are the fathers’ reactions. Lame.
