This ship has been a personal interest of mine for the past 9 months. I've requested and commissioned art, stolen GETs, and now written a fic about it.
Not too bad. But I think it was a real misstep to not resolve his search for his ancestor (Which we now know is Stygian. Don't know if that detail was revealed by the fic's release).
While the flirting felt natural enough I think too much emphasis was put on them checking each other out too early. After they actually talked and stuff it worked, but before it felt like they should've probably had a more "professional" attitude.
I just love this ship, I wish shadow lock had more comics appearances, I always come here to reread this fanfic, I love it deeply
