It's Silverbolt's birthday. Dusk's father, Moonshine, went to the cemetery in Canterlot's Residential District to honour her memory.
What he found instead was a lone drunken pony enjoying a party for one. One pony who desperately needed his father's help. Now, confronted with his son's addiction, Moonshine has to figure out how to approach the situation.
As a loving and caring father? Or as a former guard? Or could there be a middle ground of the two?

A very big thank you to Zervon Tora & Nira Lightshine for pre-reading, editing and the description. Thank you!
This has been an interesting read, especially due to the atmosphere. It's heartwrenching, funny and heartwarming at the same time, a really unexpected, but enjoyable mix
Also, despite this being the first story I have read from you, I don't feel like anything is missing from the picture. Sure, there were some references to other events, but nothing that would hinder my basic understanding of the plot. Furthermore, I wonder what Dusk's royal background is. I presume his mother to be Luna, but if you would care to give me a shortened version of his biography, I surely wouldn't mind. Just curious, 'tis all
short and sweet... wish it was a bit more longer but, it will do... it's good in some ways... not a lot of expressions i notice like you do with some of your fictions.
