Hail to Celestia, bringer of dawn and of life giving sunlight!

Sequels1

Nightmare Moon has spent years of accumulating enough magic for herself to materialize after her defeat by the Element Bearers. She is separate from Luna. Her own being. She does not want eternal night anymore, having realized it would doom Equestria.
She can only think of the Sun. Of how dear is the Sun for her actually. She wouldn't take it from the skies... Everything needs her.
Even dark creatures as herself.

Thanks for the comment and appreciation

Not a single line of dialogue yet you captured so many emotions.

I thought of making this for long. I started thinking out what and how would I do since the beginning of the week.
I intended to not use dialogue and only focus on the feelings. Seems like l did it? :twilightblush:

I would ask for a sequel, if not for my being utterly afraid that the sequel would grab me by the feels and kill me outright.

I thought of making a sequel... Moonlestia is my favorite ship after all.
I already have a concept, and I may make it real as well... Not sure if it will have this many of them feelings.
Nothing is sure at this point.

Look, friend; If there is a sequel, I want it to grab me by the feels, but preferably leave me alive to enjoy it.

9091074
It's gonna grab you.
I hope.

If she dreams about it often enough, Luna is going to stumble upon it someday.

I ship it.

I haven’t thought of this aspect... hmm... Now I cannot decide how will I make that sequel :P

I am waiting for the sequel.

Me too, believe me, me too 😝

This almost made me ship MoonLestia. The only things stopping me were a) I don’t subscribe to the theory of NMM being a separate entity that possessed Luna, or the possibility of her rematerializing, and b) I just don’t romantically ship Celestia at all. (Famshipping, however, is another story that could stretch on for hours if I’m not eventually given a restraining order.) However, both of these conditions are just personal preferences, and neither of them interfered with my enjoyment of the feelsiness. (Is feelsiness a word? Well, it is now.) Seriously, you write emotions ridiculously well. I’m really looking forward to any future stories, and I say you deserved the feature.

Well, this was long. See why I need a restraining order?

No problem. It is described in the comics that The Nightmare is a separate entity in form of a cloud of dark magic originating from the Moon, and it somehow got into Luna and possessed her as a dark spirit. The Elements cleansed Luna of her darkness, thus separating her from Nightmare again. Rematerializing is my idea. Thank you for the yet another appreciative comment.

Long is not a problem. At least you describe your opinion thoroughly.

She wanted to take the Sun from the ponies of Equestria. The life giving sunlight. The crops would have withered, the planet would have become a frozen wasteland, where she would be the only one alive. Yet she hated loneliness. Her plan wasn't well thought out.

Oh, you think?

Nightmare stood up and moved to a part of the room where the sun warmed the floor. She laid down and closed her eyes as the warmth seeped into her black fur. The mare let out a contented sigh at the soothing sensation and rested her head on her front hooves as she let sleep take over. She loved sleeping in the sunlight. It warmed her, engulfed her as a comforting embrace...

Quite ironic.

Good story!
I enjoyed reading it.
