When I was little my grandmother told me stories of the old days when the avatar keep peace between the water tribes, earth kingdom, fire nation, and air nomads then everything changed when the earth kingdom attacked. Only the avatar mastered all four elements only he could stop the incredibly strong earth benders but when the world needed him most he disappeared. One hundred years have past and the earth kingdom is nearing victory in the war two years ago my father and the men of my tribe journeyed to the air temples to help fight against the earth kingdom leaving me and my brother to look after the tribe. Some believe the avatar was never reborn into the fire nation and the cycle is broken but I haven't lost hope.
Umm, okay, I get what you're trying to do, but this story kind of confuses me a little. First of all, how would the Earth Kingdom be able to wipe out the Fire Nation? I mean, I know it's just a small island nation while the Earth Kingdom is a whole continent, but the Fire Nation has a ton of people living in it, benders and non-benders. In the original series, the whole wiping out the Air Nomads thing made sense because the Air Nomads were just a couple handfuls of people scattered all over the world and because the Fire Nation had a superpowered comet and an organized military on their side. Secondly, there's something utterly weird about using "yip yip" to tell a dragon to fly. I think the original series implied that that phrase only worked on sky bison. Also, you got the avatar cycle wrong. If we're starting with fire, the next element in the cycle is air then water then earth. This is because each element corresponds with a season. Fire corresponds with summer, air with autumn, water with winter, and earth with spring. As much as I am a sucker for all things Flashlight, I'm not sure if I'm enjoying this story. I want to like it, but I'm not sure if I do. Maybe I'll just see what happens in the next chapter.

Simple this maybe based off of avatar the last air bender but the earth kingdom already has metal bending and lava bending and more advanced technology like in legend of korra (minus the spirit canon and giant robot) they have an upper hand also comets are made of ice and rock I never could understand how it made the fire nation stronger. Also I changed the cycle to work with the story better and the yip yip thing sounds weird in general they never said it only worked on a sky bison just that it didn't work for boomys pet.

So, in this universe, the elements DON'T correspond with a season?
9596789
No but if you've seen legend of korra then you know that the first avatar got the elements in that order by coincidence.
9596772
Also, by the way, I know comets are actually ice and rock, but from a purely aesthetic standpoint, they LOOK like they're burning, so I guess that works. Another possibility is that comets just work differently in that universe. "shrug"
It's not so confusing once you apply the whole "the elements were chosen for the cycle at random" theory. Now, I'm confused by how Garble is an earthbender.

I just had a hard time finding the right one to play as that part but I can't make him a fire bender you know.
So, what nationality are the inhabitants of Mist Mane Island?
9604260
One in its own remember the show.
9604335
In the show, Kyoshi island was technically Earth Kingdom territory if I remember correctly.
9604390
yes until she turned it into an island.
9604550
Was Mist Mane Island former Air Nation territory or Water Nation territory? I mean, I know Rockhoof was the Avatar before Flash. If Mist Mane was the Avatar before Rockhoof, then the island should be part of the Air Nation just going by the cycle, but prior to Legend of Korra, the Air Nation was composed entirely out of benders, and none of the inhabitants on the island are benders. Is Air Nation culture different in this universe?
9604586
Air nation, and yes it is a bit different.
Kung Fu Panda reference? Really? I mean, I appreciated it, but I really had to try not to laugh just because of how fairly serious this episode is supposed to be.
I thought the three of them were at the Fire Nation.
Kiss already!
That last bit doesn't make sense.
Okay, everything in the second half of this chapter is wildly different from what happened in the original series, but it makes total sense, well, a lot more sense than what happened in the live-action adaptation anyway.
9611298
Oh thanks for pointing that out I fixed it.
9611307
How does it not make sense earth quakes and volcanoes hint hint.
9611349
Well, besides the obvious exceptions, earth tends to be pretty stable.
Wrong nation, sugarcube.
I see you skipped the storm episode.
Wait. Why is everyone acting as if firebenders are the only ones who can fly? Shouldn't airbenders be able to fly? Also, why is there a Fire Nation city in the middle of Air Nation territory? This chapter honestly makes significantly less sense than all your other ones.
9612915
Well air benders can fly but they were fighting earth benders and there are no air benders at that city also I its a city in fire nation land on a mountain.
You know, this story would be easier to follow if it came with a map. It would definitely help with visualizing the geography.
9613069
Sorry but I can't draw on the internet only on paper since I don't have photo shop.
Let me guess. Fancy Pants is Fleur's fiance.
9613682
Actually I didn't think of that.
I'm surprised that Twilight didn't freak out more than she did, considering that her worst enemy just took her friend.
Other than that, I don't really have much else to say.
9615811
There Fixed and by the way just wait until the next story.
How come this story is the only one of your stories to not have a run-on sentence for the synopsis?
9621384
I based it off the actual show.
9621384
Do you like the story?
Wow, this... this is an utter wreck.
9719392
Why is that?
9719420
Too many typos and a rushed story that lacks the feelings the original had.
