I'm in general a slow writer, so it might take some time between chapters
the next chapter is to around 90% done, but I got a few health issues to deal with recently so I had no time to concentrate on writing

Luna mentions her sister falling to darkness somewhere in this chapter. Considering the nature of Day breaker it may be better to say she had fallen to 'evil' as in this instance, light is the villain and darkness is the salvation.
Well, duh. You presumably left her alone in what you knew was a nest of vipers. What did you think was going to happen to her surrounded by those kinds of ponies all the time? Silly Cadance, you know love needs to be nutured to endure. Admittedly I suppose it could be Moondancer instead, but either way, without anyone on her side, she had to build up defenses.

Three years ago was when you updated last good greef I thought it was dead.
I really hope that the story will continue! And I also hope that the plot will not follow the most obvious and predictable path in which Twilight Sparkle will be convinced of the rightness of the Moon, betray the Daybreaker and, together with Princess Luna, defeat the Fiery Alicorn.
And I really hope that it wasn't Daybreaker who killed Shining Armor. It would be an incredibly clumsy way to get Sparkle to take the side of Princess Luna.

I do plan to continue this, I just sadly had some techical issues which caused a loss of what I had written before I could ssafe it after uploading this chapter, and RL is currently keeping me from having much time to write down everysthing anew.
Well, I can say that Twilight joining Luna will be the overall plot, but not like they join now and go defeat her in the next 2 chapters or so, it will be a longer journey

Well, in that case, I can only wish you inspiration and strength to continue your story! Although, of course, it is a pity that Sparkle will go over to the side of Princess Luna, yet here she does not seem to be a "faithful student of Celestia\Daybreaker". And as I understand it, the fiery alicorn could have quietly destroyed all or almost all the thestrals for a very, very long time, but as I understand it, she left them in order for them to create an image of an external enemy and the Daybreaker could rally the nation in front of the external enemies around her. Only I don't really see the point in such a strategy when you've been ruling alone for 1000 years, it's pretty obvious that the strongest power should be based on love and fear, and given the well-known diplomatic abilities of Celestia and her wisdom and knowledge (which, as I understand, Daybreaker also owns) it becomes not quite clear to me why tyrannize over a rather peaceful by nature nation of ponies. Although on the other hand, maybe the solar alicorn simply likes to rule with an iron hoof in the realm of violence and cruelty, it would be quite in the nature of a Daybreaker. By the way, I am surprised that she did not make lava-fire fountains in her throne room, as in the original fountains of water, well, there will be lava fountains here)
In general, it will be interesting to see how the Moon and Twilight Sparkle will try to resist literally the most brutal MLP character and concurrently the most powerful pony in history. I think the princess of the night is waiting for many more revelations and shock about what a monster her sister has become.
Well, as I understand it, in the end, the journey will lead to the collection of future elements of harmony?
