I make both fanart and fanfic. I draw all my cover images myself, and I take art and writing commissions!

For some ponies, friendship is magic. For others, it is a curse. Chrysalis, Queen of the Changelings, is freed from stone, to find herself once again the Queen of nothing. She flees her captors, and finds her thoughts turning once more to her errant children.

The word I sounds like a cliché... Every beginning of a sentence try to use more here I am or there I was. I in the begging of a sentence is like saying... I did this I did that... that sort of thing... it could be There I was ... etc....

I interpreted all of the 'I' statements as a deliberate choice - the point is that Chrysalis is a massive narcissist obsessed with herself.

Me: "Yes! I wrote 2500 words one-shot in one week! And it only took another week to proofread! Yay :pinkiecrazy:!"

Nice story and Chrissy should really see a shrink :unsuresweetie:

Rather dark and a great insight into her mind. Macabre. Great writing!

Allow me to demonstrate how to prevent the return of ancient, unrepentant evils: ALONDRO SHOOTS CHRYSALIS IN THE FACE A LOT!!

I believe in the firm application of the old, tried-and-true TV Trope of "Why Don't We Just Shoot Them?"

Only when that fails do I move on to... other methods. Which tend to involve planetary explosions. :pinkiecrazy:

After all, what greater joy has a mother than her young? Certainly, I had none.

What does that mean?

Only a changeling born of a Queen is a true changeling. They will learn that the hard way, when in a few generations their royal jelly runs dry and their eggs will contain only ashes. They will return to me then, whatever brightly-coloured monstrosities they have made of themselves. They will crawl and fly and limp across the sea to me, and I will accept them, my prodigal children. A mother’s love is boundless, after all. I will embrace my children’s descendants, and I will tear out their throats . Their ichor will serve well enough as sustenance for my new larvae, before they grow large enough to digest love for themselves.

Wow, mother of the year, everyone.

Absolutely love this one. You have a very interesting and complex way of portraying a villain.

I find Chrysalis to be a very interesting character. I mean in canon she's nothing more than an irrational evil witch and Thorax and the rest of the love bugs are her poor misunderstood children. In the realm of fanfictions however we find a myriad of possibilities. Here are some of my favorite ideas: A) Chrysalis isn't the only changeling queen, and there are queens both better and worse than her. B) The love bug look is how changelings are supposed to look and the scary black insectoidal thing comes from severe malnourishment. C) The changelings were originally flutterponies corrupted by black or chaos magic.

10516722 Funny you should mention flutterponies corrupted by chaos magic... https://www.fimfiction.net/story/348029/metamorphosis

I'll never be finishing it, cuz I got finished with the most interesting part and then was like, "Oh, now I have to spend twice as much time explaining how they learn to use their powers, and their hunger for love and blah blah blah... BORING!!"
