I'm the smuggest horse that ever lived.

It's the magical discovery of the millennium! Using a series of magical techniques devised by Starlight for leveraging limited magical power for greater effect, and a theory that Twilight quietly snuck out of the Forbidden Section with, a spell has been developed that can reverse Death itself!

There's just one problem: Ponyville doesn't exactly have a reputation for murders. They've tested the spell on a mouse, sure, but they've yet to find a dead pony who fits the requirements for the spell.

So Glimmer suggests that they make a dead pony. And, after racking their brains for a while, there's only one pony that both of them would willingly murder.

that is indeed the idea, although one might argue that it's not murder if they get back up again

Poor mouse

Oh, sure: try to make this my fault...

Hey, I never said it was your writing prompt specifically. Just, y'know, that it was from your discord server.

"We were thinking Mudbriar as an alternative, but then we remembered the whole 'Maud can kick a Pony's head clear off their shoulders and into low orbit' thing."

Yeah, when selecting necronauts, make sure you send somepony who can look past their own ego. Ah well, Trixie was just the proof of concept. Now they can send in someone who'll actually pay attention.

... or they can explain the concept to Trixie and send her again. That's an option. :trixieshiftright:

Lovely bit of goofy murder and subsequent anti-murder. Thank you for it.

Nah - take the safer approach and send Blueblood. What's the aorst that happens, a new national holiday?

10827201
Yeah, but you're never getting usable data that way.

A murder is an unlawful, intentional [equi]cide. Resurrection negates neither the act nor the intent, merely their consequence. So a murder followed by a resurrection is still a murder.

Though since Twilight is a sovereign, her say-so undoes the unlawfulness :trollestia:

"SUCCESS!" Twi squealed, clapping her forehooves. "What was it like? What's it like? Tell me tell me tell me!"

"...Trixie saw nothing worth mentioning. The afterlife bored her."

Well, this was the only answer they deserved.

Nah, the two beings will give him immortality, or soul destruction, I preffer the 2nd option, win/win for everyone ...

"...and it would take way longer than an hour to get the head back down and re-attached."

This was a good short funny story.

I would've used Sven.
Because if it fails nothing of value is lost

Lol. That's exactly how it would go
