I left for eight years. Now I've returned, a changed beast.

All stallions, being seen as too hostile to be tamed

Yeah, that wasn't my idea.

When being asked to make a sequel, it's important to adhere to the rules set forth by the story or stories that came before. I would love to have the pony stallions involved as more than just cannon fodder for the zebras to steamroll over, but I am currently bound by the idea that someone else already wrote, and I was expressly told "no gay stuff."

I would be amenable to the idea of having, say, Thunderlane being forced to suck his zebra master's toes after a long series of training sessions, but when doing requests, it's not always my call.

Those zebras are even worse than the caribou. Not even Zecora's kind wouldn't dare become like those guys.

If this were my own personal variation on the zebra slavers, you would be absolutely right in that the zebras would not be so cruel. In my variation, the process of taking slaves comes either through prison sentence reduction or through contracts. Certainly, some are taken outside of this, but are usually taken as collateral damage. Those zebras are one with the land and provide free birth control and medical care to all citizens, whether free or enslaved

The problem with such a claim is that I'm not the one who decided that this is how the zebras in this story work. I do take responsibility for some of their cruelty, as the alternative is to make the mares drink a magic potion that makes them only think about making babies and grows their breasts to a massive size. While I am no stranger to brutality, this was someone else's idea of how the world should be within the story.

There is hope coming for Apple Bloom, though. I had several arguments with the creator of the "Survival" series before I could give Apple Bloom an ending that granted her some relief.

Given the original creator's words and what all I was outright told to write, I'm giving AJ the best ending I possibly can.

11411410
Well that’s a relief. I hope AJ’s friends are okay.

I can't remember the fates of every character off the top of my head, but here are the ones I do: Twilight was assassinated, Shining Armor now has PTSD and goes into blackout rages, Zecora had a hot iron shoved down her throat so that the original author could have her speak without needing to rhyme (because that's how that works, apparently), and Big Mac and Granny Smith died in the siege of Ponyville.

Being mostly bound to the continuity (any zebras written by me are compelled to rhyme), The degree to which I can change things is diminished. If I really wanted AJ to escape and kill a hundred zebras on the way out, she'd have to be back in Zaka's command by the end, or I breach my contract.

What happened to Rarity, Flutters, Pinkie and Rainbow Dash? And the Royal Sisters including Cadance?

11411435
Celestia and Luna surrendered several times, only to be attacked again. Cadance is one of Shining's several wives, which also includes Zecora and Fleur de Lis, and maybe Rarity, too, I can't recall. The rest, I don't remember.

The whole thing, in order of when it was written:

This story in particular is a side piece, with the opening being between the first and second chapter of Fittest, and Ending at the end of New Way. Begins at Home takes place after the inciting incident, but before Fittest. It's convoluted, I know. But hopefully, this will contextualize everything.

Will there be a sequel to this perhaps.

Please let it happen. And hopefully applejack finds apple bloom

At current, there are no plans for a sequel that I am aware of. Perhaps in the future.

11464420
So your saying there might be a possibility of a sequel in the future.

11464905
Quite possibly, yes. I wouldn't swear to it, as the main story this came from is about Shining Armor, but having another story about Apple Bloom and Applejack is a door that has always been open. Whether or not this continues is up to the original creator of the series. If he does want another episode, he will once again need to take a number, though.

Do perhaps have a link to that story?

Numbers two and four on that list, as you may note, are not written by me. They were also written first, by release date, and I was asked to step in later and build the rest.
