For many years, Scootaloo has proudly worn the label of an official Cutie Mark Crusader. She's happily enjoyed many adventures and life changing events with her fellow Crusaders: Apple Bloom and Sweetie Belle.
Now, however, the fully grown pegasus is considering the possibility of spreading her wings elsewhere. Her own pursuits seem poised to take her away from the Cutie Mark Crusaders, at least for a good long while.
Naturally, Scootaloo decides to share this consideration with her friends and fellow Crusaders first. Apple Bloom and Sweetie Belle in turn want to give Scootaloo a little bit of parting advice, advice about what it truly means to be a member of the Cutie Mark Crusaders.

11353108 Yeah. As much as I like the idea of her going on to join the Wonderbolts, I feel like that's an overdone idea. Scootaloo would want to forge her own path, she's very independent.

I also love how you also gave Scootaloo the ability to fly, just like I did in my Scootaloo story. It's just the right thing, and she deserves to fly.

This was a sweet story about growing up and growing beyond one's limitations. I wondered for some time what a story of the CMC's going their own ways once they grew up might read like and this had some of those elements I was thinking about. Well done!
It was a pretty short story, but it still managed to tug on my heart. This is a pretty impressive and interesting story! I love it!

We've already seen a prosthetic wing in "A Cutie Re-Mark" - when Scootaloo is fully grown, it should be a simple matter for her to wear normal-size prosthetic wings over her foal-size wings.
Plus "One Bad Apple" and "Twilight Time" had her exhibit mechanical skills of her own. Having her apply that to the field of prosthetics - both to make her own dreams come true and to help other pegasi who could use a little extra lift - would have been a much more interesting future for her than just sticking her in the School of Friendship as a teacher alongside the other CMCs and half the Student Six.
