Full rehearsal pt 2: a digression

Flash.
“Hit it, Flash!” shouted Pinkie. “Let’s hear you sing all I ask of you!”

I took a deep breath. Sunset appeared from behind a statue she and AJ had placed there. I squeezed her hand gently.

Sunset let out a cry. “The baby’s kicking!” She cried.
“Breathe!” I shouted. “Breathe, Sunset! It is going to be okay.” I lifted the mask off her face in one fluid movement. We kissed passionately. I ran my fingers through her wig. She sighed, as she stroked my wig.

“No more talk of darkness,” I sang.
“Forget those wide eyed tears…” My voice broke. A tear leaked from my eyes, onto Sunset’s face. The song reminded me of our relationship.
“Say you’ll love me, one love, one lifetime,” sang Sunset. “Say the word and I will follow you…”

She led me into a weak dance, of course, taking into account she was pregnant. We waltzed, as I twirled her around to the song.

She leaned her head against my shoulder, as the song concluded.
