It's a good concept, and one surprisingly few authors have picked up on, given Misty's traumatic past. However, it needs to be fleshed out significantly more than what's been described here. Less than 2,000 words is not enough to cover the issues and revelations surrounding Misty's trauma, much less give all her friends/family in-depth reactions. Still, this is a good start. It could be used as a draft outline for a much larger story in the future.
