"I wish to know the truth" said Twilight.
And thus, she is granted the ability to see and know the truth. Only problem is, the truth begins to scare herand she decides to face it, slowly showing signs of madness to her friends who try to help her the best they can.
But one random pink Pony seems not too worried and actually enjoys the situation, even if she also accepts to help in the end, in her own way.

This is no adventure, this is no "lesson zero" or "party of one" in any way. This is merely a reflexion about the truth and the veil.
Nothing more, but, I hope, nothing less.

It's out there, just beyond where we can reach with our fingers. I follows us everywhere and if we could see it, if we could comprehend its terrible beauty, we would joyfully go mad in the horrible revelation.

It felt confusing and a bit rushed. You are also right about the dialogue as the ponies were out of character quite often. It would be a good idea to re-read the story again because there were some slight grammatical issues as well as present and past tense agreement. I think if you slowed down and really developed each section it could be a good fic, particularly the idea of the veil. I know it's Pinkie and everything so it shouldn't follow "normal" physics or whatever, but I just felt absolutely lost about the veil the whole time.

Now, I know there is a lot of criticism up there, but don't take it personally. If anything, it's probably just me being sick and not feeling it right now. Hopefully it helped, and if not you can write me off as some ranting psychopath, but I would prefer if you didn't. Additionally, I feel I should let you and anyone else who reads this know it was never my intention to simply slam a fic with criticism and hate. So PLEASE don’t hate me for this, ok?

My point is that it could actually be possible. (but I know you just wanted to make a joke, I just don't know from what film this comes from).

Seems to come from a book. Is that Lovecraft? I read one or two of his books, it sounds like something he would write.

I replied with the message, but I can publicly say that I'm sorry, but I'm just not really able to write right. I'm already trying my best (and failing) and the reason I keep on writing is that I just feel the need to.
I can only promise I'll take more time and continue trying my best, but not that I'll be able to give good stories. I don't think I can.

I should quickly add that I rarely develop the section more than I do because of the language barrier for once, but mostly because the things I would add always seem useless in my mind. I set a goal and everything that doesn't serve that goal is usually eliminated. But I'm probably wrong and I should think about that more...

Not from a book. Just made it up on the fly. I'm a huge fan of Lovecraftian Horror however.

Well then, I like the style you used to say it ^^.

A strange and yet deep tale. The Truth, as Albus Dumbledore rightly pointed out, is a strange and terrible thing. The real tragedy is that the complete truth is something that the mortal mind probably can't handle and certainly can't contain. The truth is that Twilight and her friends are all illusions created by a group of extremely bright and creative humans to entertain and educate. The truth is that (according to some astrophysicists anyway), in several tens of billions of years, dark energy will make all the atoms in the universe break apart and nothing will remain but the void.

However, for Twilight Sparkle herself and her friends, that doesn't matter. For then, it will all be okay. We all need a veil to keep us sane sometimes... well, most of the time actually... and that is what Pinkie provided for Twilight here. The Queen knew that too, that is why she granted Pinkie's wish.

If we learnt anything from the Parasprite incident it is this: When Pinkie Pie starts acting really strangely (even for her), you need to sit up and take notice. She really is astonishingly wise sometimes, isn't she?

Stop reading my mind, you're frightening me :pinkiecrazy:.
(But you couldn't be more right. I wonder if you figured out why Twilight ordered her friends to paint the tree and then wanted herself and Spike to be painted too... even if it does seem very obvious.)

And yes, she is incredibly wise, seemingly too much for a pony...
