After a finding an original, unedited version of 'A Theory on Magical Mathematics' in her library, Twilight Sparkle comes across the name Dr. Technic Electric, who has been credited as the leading scientist on the 'Particle Acceleration through use of Magically-Altered Magnetic Fields' at just twelve years of age!

Astounded by the work Dr. Electric, Twilight is struck with the need to find out more about his exploits, but comes up empty hoofed. After taking a trip to Canterlot to see if their libraries hold any more information about Dr. Electric. But the princesses are beginning to take notice, and after being urged to leave the subject alone by none other than Princess Celestia; Twilight comes face to face with the mysterious Doctor.
