It's been twenty years since the invasion of Canterlot by the Changeling Swarm. In those years, the Mane Six have grown up and most have had foals of their own. One day, a pegasus named Surprise, the daughter of Pinkie Pie, visits the Canterlot War Memorial where she meets a retired veteran named Swiftwing. After a brief discussion, Swiftwing tells a story about what happened to him and his best friend just before, and during, the invasion.

Rainbow Dash has been a Wonderbolt for some time. She has also been happily married to Soarin and they have had two foals: a colt named Fire Spectrum, and a filly named Gentle Breeze. It's almost time for Rainbow and Soarin's anniversary; when Gentle Breeze finds out about where the two are going to celebrate, she also realises that she and her brother don't know about how the two started dating in the first place. Needless to say, she wants to find out, now if only her brother was as enthusiastic as her....

Luna once had a kingdom given to her by Celestia. Despite the kingdom being in one of Equestria's arctic zones, everyone loved living there. Now, thousands of years later, Luna walks through the abandoned streets and the deserted castle; reflecting on the events that led to her kingdom's downfall.

What would happen if Princess Celestia suddenly became ill with a severe flu? Who would raise the sun and rule in her absence? There is only one other pony who can--her sister Princess Luna! But does The Princess of the Night have what it takes to rule the day and manage all of the responsibilities that go with it?

This story is inspired by a meme I saw on Facebook where the Doctor (Matt Smith) visits Tony Stark as a baby and tells him of all the wonderful things he will accomplish in his life.
