The ship plummeted, seriously upsetting a ‘V’ of migrating birds that exploded and fried on the burning surface of the hull.

I’m actually curious about the mind set of people who choose to identify themselves as Pegasi ponies, Unicorn ponies, Alicorn ponies, or Earth ponies.

My impression of pegasi bronies: feeling trapped, feeling bossed around, wanting to run more than confront.

I consider myself an Earth pony, so what does that say about me?

Those of you who are unicorns, why do you want to be a unicorn? Gaining a sense of significance?

You are a pony. You want to give a small, reasonably priced gift basket to a spaceship crewed by about 12 or so extraterrestrials (humans). These aliens have had no other contact with Equestrian civilization.

What do you give them?

I'm giving a gift basket with these items:
---A bottle of wine (a small luxury item to drink.)
---A scroll with a short, friendly sentence in clean writing (the humans might copy it and show it to other ponies.)

Repost: Ponies are cute because they co-evolved with human protectors · 10:41pm May 6th, 2014

Screw being creative. I'm just post one of my previously popular forum threads.

Out of curiosity, why is it that when a human encounters a pony for the first time, his first reaction is to protect it? What is it about ponies that always makes humans choose their side of any conflict?

Flash Sentry could have been a salvageable character if... · 8:29pm May 1st, 2014

They could have saved Flash Sentry's character if they made him a UFO nerd or something.

Act 1: He suspects that Twilight was not actually a human. He spends a good deal of time stalking her with a note pad and pencil, documenting conversations with her unearthly talking dog, and hypothesizing about what her goals on Earth might be. Narratively, it shows he's doubtful (character flaw,) smart (attractive,) and might be a potential villain if Twi and Spike don't play their cards right.

My thoughts on the MLP universe being real: A resounding 'maybe' in parallel universes

If you can take a piece of paper and explain how the physics work, I don't see why there can't be a universe that works like the MLP universe.

Different ways to express Harmony? · 6:30pm Apr 24th, 2014

Can you think of anyway that their culture might try to express harmony? I mean, how the concept of harmony might show up in their language or customs?

One way I thought they'd express just how constantly-on-their-minds the idea of harmony is, is by having 2 forms of the word "and."

Headcanon: Language shapes the mind. Why ponies aren't proactive about the dangerous Everfree Forest · 12:16am Apr 24th, 2014

I've got a small idea about how adult ponies' thought process is shaped by their language.

Anyone notice how most ponies don't seem to take their safety into their own hooves? I got a theory on that.

You know how in English, a grammatically correct sentence is "It is raining." ? Well, I was thinking that in Equish, that same sentiment is expressed by just saying "Raining."
