Hello, I just wanted to make a quick post that after taking a break to focus work on another story, that I'll be resuming work on Colonel Hooves. I'm about 6k into the next chapter with a possible 5k more to be added.

Nothing extraordinary to say other then the changes have taking effect for good. My chapters will be much longer then before so be ready to read some chunkers in the coming months, because chapter 27 is already 4k words and all of that is just talking filler and none of the plot. I'm projecting another 10-12k chapter by the end of the month.

Partly based on a comment I got in the last chapter(you know who you are) I had to take a step back and realize I had been cutting corners on most of the recent chapters in order to push the narrative forward-no longer. While I can't say if the final chapters would be as long, I can say they'll be longer then the most past chapters as I strive to bring back some much needed interactions and world building.

And with that, I'm projecting the chapter to break the 10k mark once its finished.

There was a comment by a user calling out the declining interactions between characters in favor of using Idol's internal dialogue to carry the story forward, and after some reflection, I could agree with it. So, I went back and changed some things that has effect the direction of the chapter to the point I would encourage you reread it again.

The next three chapters for Colonel Hooves is finished, and only need some edits before they can be posted. Saying that, I wanted to surprise readers with providing two brand new pieces of Idol art commissioned late last year, but only the first is close to being complete with the second only drafted.

My question is, would you as the reader prefer to wait longer to have the artwork in the imbedded into the chapters or read them now and have me make a blog showing them off later?

Just wanted to make a quick announcement that I just published the start of a new Idol fan story called 'How to Pony.'

The idea is an on going fan idea in the Changeling of the Guard Discord that Idol wrote a bunch of books for Exiles as a way to teach them how to act like a pony and overall integrate into Equestria. Things happen and somehow the books are published to much fanfare and seen as an original, and fun self help book for foals and even adults alike.
