Snap Shutter and Mane Allgood visit their daughter and Holiday and Lofty. When they get there, they find Scootaloo reading a Daring Do book with Rainbow Dash. They get into an argument with Rainbow over whether or not Daring Do is a good depiction of an adventurer's life. Rainbow can't stand it and blurts out Daring's real, and is actually in town for a few days, doing book signings (as A.K Yearling, of course). Mane Allgood and Snap Shutter don't believe her, and Rainbow decides to prove it.

The CMCs are on the train home with Twilight and Fluttershy after saying goodbye to Spur and Biscuit. They are very sorry about using up the flower's magic, and are even more sorry for themselves when they see their older sisters waiting for them at the train station. Rainbow, Rarity, and Applejack are livid, but they understand, in their own ways. The CMC's older sisters take the CMCs off on their own after chewing them out as one. Then they have the biggest talks of their lives.

Spitfire and Fleetfoot have been best friends with each other and Soarin for as long as they can remember. Soarin and Rainbow realize the signs of crushes after a day at the bar and give the two the push they need. These are their little adventures together

Grogar has a plan. To use a spell to zap all possible threats into his lair in order to eliminate them. The mane 6, Princess Cadence, Princess Flurry Heart, Starlight, the CMCs, Daring Do, the Wonderbolt mares, Mage Meadowbrook, Somnambula, and Mistmane are sent down. However, Grogar has made a grave mistake. Only mares were brought due to Grogar believing that the mares of Equestria pose a worse threat than any stallion that could be out there.

But he has underestimated the lengths that stallions will go to in order to protect the ones they love-er-are friends with. Yeah, that's what happens, no one has crushes, just friends here, nothing else!

Oh who am I kidding, whatever, the others are gonna find out in the story about each other's crushes.

Anyway, when the stallions find out, they are sent on the mission by Princess Celestia and Princess Luna to rescue the mares. But will they be halted by Grogar's 'minions'? Or will the unexpected happen?
