Sorry for the late reply. I'm bad at all the messaging platform replies ,even if want to.
But yes I absolutely love it. Everyone has a steady progression (growth is my favorite aspect in all storytelling). The passing provides the ability to digest during the more slice of life parts.
The only criticism I genuinely I have is we see them get the reward but don't see him enjoy/live the reward of a day or two... what his everyday looks like. But it is heavily made up for, if not completely satisfied, with the fact you ended it with a 'in the next part'.
Currently my 2nd favorite story on this site. First is forgiveness pending. 3rd is the silent knight trilogy (memoir/secrets/trials of a royal guard books 1,2,3).
