Swamp ponies:

Perjorative though nearly-universal exonym for ponies from isolated communities that hold onto beliefs about alicorns yet to be influenced and regularized by Celestian ideology. Despite their name, most swamp ponies actually live in farming communities located on marginal land far away from the road and rail networks, with the rest living in swamps, mountains, forests, and other areas of Equestria still illegible to the Equestrian state.

Low Celestian:

Collective name for belief systems mostly concordant with High Celestianism but with elements that deviate from the official line. Strongest among earth ponies, working-class communities in large pony cities as well as rural communities that are more directly integrated into the Equestrian trade network. Enlisted members of the EUP, the Royal Guard, and the Equestrian security services are disproportionately Low Celestian, with officers being more High Celestian.

The official state religion and the purest expression of the Celestian ideology of love and tolerance (which in practice is really good governance and tolerance), with adherence being strongest among unicorns and near-universal in the capital of Canterlot as well as neighboring communities under strong Canterlot influence such as Ponyville and Cloudsdale. Nearly all scientists and magickists are High Celestian. Academics in general are, though there is a strong minority
