This is the sequel to "Trailblazer The Rescuer". After two months have passed since the events of the prequel, The Main Six end up having coltfriends with other ponies. However, Twilight Sparkle cannot seem to find one for her life, and suffers anguish that he constantly oppresses to keep herself from looking unhappy all the time. Trailblazer then offers to take her to his hometown of Tethleon to find one for her, but their progress is abruptly stopped when a hole in the sky is spotted.
It turns out that the hole is called a Sario Hole, and if it is left untreated, the world will be destroyed. During their research, Princess Celestia informs them of a region called Inyomaid, a technologically advanced island with a futuristic feel. On that island, the keys to closing the Sario Hole are located there, and all must be brought together to stop it.
While they are adventuring through the region of Inyomaid, Twilight seeks comfort from Trailblazer from time to time. She reveals to him that she once had a unicorn coltfriend when she was younger, named Mineral Mage. But the whereabouts of where he is now will surprise her...

This is the sequel to Trailblazer's New Life. Following those events, he now gets more of a chance to spend time with his new friends in Ponyville. One night around a campfire, he tells the story of a unimaginably valuable treasure that has been locked away for over 2,000 years from his ancestors in Tethleon.
At first, it seems like nothing bad can come from it, as the memories of what the treasure is have faded away through time. But, on one fateful night, at a Canterlot dinner party, Trailblazer's enemy, Black Hole, breaks in and seeks revenge against him. The reason? Trailblazer was a bully as a foal, and Black Hole was one of his prime targets. Black Hole also claims that he knows what the Tethleon treasure is, and kidnaps AppleJack so that she can be used with the treasure to dominate the world.
As Black Hole sees it, it's his world, and once it is taken over, Trailblazer and AppleJack will be gone. As Trailblazer travels up to the north to the Crawnite Mountains, where Black Hole works at unlocking the treasure, he sees for himself how bad of a world it can be if it is run by those who choose to be evil.

Trailblazer is a male Earth Pony that has been taught many different ways of self-defense from a king in his home city, Tethleon. In this city, a group that acts like a law enforcement/guardian organization, The Rising Warriors is a guild that only accepts ponies that are good in spirit as well as able to protect and save others in dire situations. Trailblazer has been called by the ruler of Tethleon, King Gold, as his right-hand colt, to be taught even more on account that he was seen as the best out of all of them.
However, when King Gold was assassinated, his lesser-known brother, Silver Soul, takes the throne. After only a couple months after doing so, he turns the Rising Warriors into an army bent on ruling all of Equestria. Anypony that rejected his way of ruling was sentenced to die. Trailblazer was one of them. Miraculously, he feigned his death and managed to sneak out of the locked down city, thanks to the training from the deceased King Gold. He ran away to Ponyville, where he was given a warm welcome, and a chance at a new life. At a welcome party hosted by Pinkie Pie, Trailblazer sees AppleJack in the crowd, and immediately becomes infatuated with her. He now works on a relationship with her while keeping his new friends safe from harm. And that means stopping Silver Soul before it's too late.
