As for your question she isn't adictrd to them but they did effect her mind a bit as they were never meant for her alien biology so bad an adverse effect on her stability and played a role in her decent.

As for the pain no they are not supposed to hurt except when activated or reattacked after being removed. The constant pain is once more them having an adverse reaction to her alien body and how heavily they are modded.

Heh, well, there’s the rub, most of them are dead now, white rabbit, dupo, liston, etc. so now I would say it is more the bond twilight has with what was left of her squad because of how they all interact with each other. Mendez is awesome because he’s a fucking bastard, cook was interesting since he cared about everyone enough to learn at least what they liked and make it if possible. I look forward to either seeing their return (unlikely) or twilight making a new squad in equstria.

Not sure if it was a factor but I am interested, how much did the cybernetics affect twilights mind? It seems like she might have suffered at least an augmentation addiction, although every one of those was necessary at the time, and the modifications were all practical, the fact that dr. Anderson was concerned with how they might affect her early on and had no base line for comparison has me curious as to whether or not they were a factor in twilights decent or not, also, were they supposed to hurt or was that something she should have told the doctors about but didn’t bother to?
