With time short and a life on the line, Twilight goes to a forgotten corner of town seeking out an urban legend in the desperate hope it can help her. What she finds is all that she expected and more. A creature of darkness that offers favors for blood. But first it wants to know how Twilight found it, and why.
In the process, Twilight learns a valuable lesson. It's frightening enough to know that supernatural creatures actually exist, but what is truly terrifying is when those creatures know you exist. And one of them takes an interest in you.

An excellent read for Halloween. I half expected this to end with Twilight accidentally turning Cadence by giving her Sunset's blood.

Who said she didn't?
Oh dear. Twiggles has an admirer.
Gave me a real "Lost Boys" vibe. Nice and creepy. Thank you for this.
nice work
Lovely stuff. Sunset makes for such a great devious denizen of the netherworld, to say nothing of Twilight as the one willing to entertain things not dreamt of in her philosophy. Thank you for this.
Very nice. Any intent to follow up with another chapter or is this a one and done thing?
Wow. Banger.
Biting where it can not be easily seen.
Schmott gurl.

It's a oneshot

That depends on what you'd be going for if you were to move forward with the idea.
See, I encountered a similar scenario while playing Elder Scrolls Online. I had to save the life of Skald King Jorunn using vampire's blood. The in universe implication was that by using the right amount we could reinforce the king's life force without turning him into a vampire.
It was also clearly stated that using too much would turn him into a vampire, so this could be similar case depending you decided to do.
A vampire SunLight fic without even mentioning the word "twisexual". That's almost blasphemy, I dare say.

I left it ambiguous

Best line of dialogue ever put to page.

I know, I'm just pointing out two possibilities that could be used should you want to go further with it at some point.
This was an intense story by the way, very atmospheric.
Needs a sequel.

I second this

I triple this
Wow. Apparently, I'm not the only one who finds vampire Sunset kinda hot.
Yeah, this was really good. I would love to see a continuation of this, one, to see the repercussions of giving Cadance vampire blood and two, to see how things develop between Sunset and Twilight. I imagine Twilight would want to go back at the very least to thank Sunset, and I imagine Sunset doesn't get many, if any, repeat customers.

booo!

I quadruple this
Nice
All magic comes at a price...
Very good story! Short but sweet.
👍👍❤️
Great Hallowe'en story. Makes you wonder if this was AU or if the EQG world's Sunset is a real vampire, lol.
I know this is a bit cliche, but this is a better vampire story than....
Twilight!
:What?
Me: Nevermind.
: Ok.
I feel like the writer has done a good job of balancing suspense, terror, drama, and mystery. This could be the basis for a full-fledged vampire story.
The part that stood out to me was this:
What I take away from this piece of dialogue is this:
Sunset in this story was also a mortal girl who willingly accepted being turned in order to help one of her friends. Like Twilight, she accepted the deal without thinking over the consequences. The benefits of vampirism were outweighed by the costs, and Sunset, in bitterness and depression, became a violent creature to fill the void of a lonely existence.
Her willingness to force Twilight to turn as well is because she's tired of being alone and wants some kind of companionship.
But I like how you don't make this a romance story. Sunset's attitude isn't romance, but an obsession. Sunset is a creature with no real understanding of relationships, and for all her pity, she sees Twilight as her own personal pet.
Hmm... thats a lot of setup.
Great read for a oneshot, makes me want to read more Dreams' Horizon ;)
Thanks for the story :)
Ohhhhh... that was fun. Sexy, sweet, and a great read. Thanks for this.
The price is that she has herpes now. Truly the most heinous of bargains.
I like this story. It's very well done. I'm just sad that we cant see what happens next. It really does seem like the first chapter of a very promising story

Very nice, I'm looking forward to more!

There isn't any
This very effectively captures what makes a vampire such a popular monster: a sapient predator who hunts humans, pragmatic enough to preserve her own existence by offering favours for donated blood, but also extremely dangerous and unaccountable to any authority.
I'm a little curious about the doorman. Could be Flash Sentry; Sunset exploited his white knight tendencies to make him guard her lair and keep the thrill seekers away, rendering him homeless for decades, and the makes the best of a bad situation by turning the naive ones away and offering assistance to the rest.
That made me chuckle as it reminded me of https://youtu.be/ZTJXW7JcSes
