“Do you question my judgment, Luna!” Celestia snapped. “Open your eyes, sister. Stop acting like a complete idiot. You know as well as I do that Neoma and Summer are immortal. They are every bit as powerful as we are, and both are well-versed in magic. There is no way that our daughters’ lives could ever be put at risk, unless the powers that the Appaloosans possess stem from some kind of ancient magic that nopony has seen in millennia. As for killing civilians,” the white alicorn continued, “in this case it is the right thing to do. All Appaloosans are indoctrinated from birth, taught to hate Equestria and everything we stand for. I have tried to negotiate with them multiple times. They bombed our embassy in their capital, Luna. They murdered Equestrian diplomats. Have you already forgotten about the war that took my son-in-law’s life? Punishment was justified then, and it is justified now. We shall spill gallons upon gallons of their blood today, for the sake of Equestria.” Her eyes gleamed with rage.

Um Luna how about you step far away from your sister and get as many civilians and military personnel who surrendered out of there as soon as possible.

And celestia that maybe true but guess what is still a crime, for god sake there children there. And some or most of the soldiers probably didn’t know about there prince being killed by torture. And some of them were probably there when they captured him on the battlefield and took him to a P.O.W camp. Sure not all of them can be saved or at least some. But that doesn’t mean that you should. Look at what happen when Americans were killed at Pearl Harbor attack sure we hated the groups who did it. But we didn’t line them up and burn there cities, mostly but when the war was over we didn’t go there and commit crimes against them we helped them rebuild themselves from the ground up. But just because they killed your son in law means that since they killed one all now have to died.

No Luna is in the right. She understands it from there point of view. They didn’t know better or at least most of them since they were indoctrinated to hate equestria. But you can always lead them away from that path.

But since your blinded by rage and so is your daughter, because of her husband and your son in law death. He would have been disappointed with you too.

I may have never met the guy but I know he wouldn’t want this. Killing thousand of innocent civilians for being killed by a few who killed him. No I can’t accept this I hope you and your daughter are killed by something and if not then I’ll do it myself.

“But we still won the war, Tia,” Luna pressed. “Of course we suffered a terrible loss, as did many other Equestrians. As awful as that war was, however, I can’t help but wonder if it is really necessary to avenge the deaths of our soldiers this way, by intentionally and indiscriminately killing civilians alongside enemy forces while putting our two princesses’ lives at risk? Is all of this being done for the good of Equestria, or for selfish reasons?”

Selfish reasons most likely since they only post a threat when they were invaded. Maybe some of it is for the good of equestria but only a small amount.

And Luna no it’s not the better way is finding justice for them. The US has committed war crimes but this…

This is something to the next level of war crime.
