Seems I've gotten some new followers recently, and it's been an awfully long time since some of the old guard have commented, so I figured it'd be cool to drop a blogpost and encourage all of you to chip in and chat. It'd be good to know who-all is out there.
Don't think I count as old guard among your followers, but I'm definitely still on the site!

Howdy Reese. What stories do you know me for?
Hey there, I'm Draco
I mostly just followed for your two Cozy Glow stories. Found them hilarious :)
5180915
Oh hey, someone who found them funny legitimately! Sweet.
5180914
Mostly more recent ones; I think the oldest is the Geralt one. Besides that, looks like it's been mostly the recent Cozy Glow ones. As I recall, I followed you first after meeting you at the last Bronycon, then started looking at your stories afterward.

...What other kind of funny would they be?

Ah, I think I might remember you, though I can't place the name to the face with certainty. In any case, welcome aboard. I hope some of my older stories grab you as well; it's been a while since I wrote something I felt was really serious.
As for the Cozy stories and comedy, some folks felt like I went too heavy on the drama for it to really be a light-hearted superhero comedy. That's not exactly intentional on my part; I just tend to play things straight, even absurd things, and have the character stay in-character even when they're dealing with something completely absurd. To me, that's funnier, but not everyone registers it the same way.

Really? I mean I still have to read the sequel Cozy Glow story but even though there were some elements of drama in the first one, I found myself mostly laughing at Cozy's antics while being a superhero, especially because of those in-character moments. I enjoyed reading it so much that I've been recommending it to others. Hopefully, I'll have time to start the sequel later today.

Hey, thanks! I do appreciate you spreading the word. And yeah, that was my take on it, but like I said, I got some feedback that indicated the humor didn't land the same way for other folks. The sequel moreso than the original, so we'll see what you think of it.
Me no good with word sometime.

"Ah, I think I might remember you, though I can't place the name to the face with certainty."
Pretty much the same. :)
I was with Icy Shake and The Hat Man, if you're who I think you are?
(Though I suppose that'd actually cover multiple people.)
"In any case, welcome aboard.
Thanks. :)"
"I hope some of my older stories grab you as well; it's been a while since I wrote something I felt was really serious."
They might! I'm afraid I've a lot on my "want to look into reading this" list, though. Longstanding problem for me. :)
Ah, thanks!

Certainly narrows it down, at least. It always brightens my day when I run into my Bronycon friends on here, too.

Glad I could do a bit of day-brighting for you, then! :)
Still here, somewhat getting back into ponefic, but still a fair bit away from catching up on stuff
Is there going to be a another follow up for "The Hero: Cozy Glow ?" or is that "The Mirror", while not following that timeline, your focus for awhile?

I am debating a followup for Cozy Hearth's Warming. The Mirror is an entirely different project, and written for very different, much more personal reasons. The main holdup on writing another followup for the Hero continuity is that, while I have a general hook for the story in mind, I was having some trouble pinning down a precise mood/theme for it. Good to see there's such demand for it, though. I wrote The Hero and Cozy Hearth's Warming as late Christmas gifts to FIMfiction.net, so it's basically more demand-driven than most of my work; The Hero made a bit of a splash (still hasn't broken 1k views) and CHW got half that, so I figured interest had petered out on that line.
5182067 The second story did wrap things up well enough, as is. Very few ends to tie up.
The other story is haunting so far. Many questions and hooks.
All and all, don't chase what we want. Chase what you want. If you know what you want.

Well, when it comes to the Hero stories, I'm actually perfectly fine doing what folks want. I'm happy doing that.
Some other stuff, like The Mirror, I write for my own reasons. So basically, don't worry about asking me for something. If I know folks are interested in something, it gives me a reason to do it.
