In this short we discover Misty's necklace isn't just merely a communication device linking her directly to Opaline, but also affects the wearer's mind as well. And yet as opposed to the others behaviors, Misty is sort of the same when she's been wearing it. But with what happens at the end is she on her way to ditching Opaline for good?

I'm betting the latter with the animators being lazy. So we'll see what Misty's next interaction with Opaline is like in the series.
I'm a little surprised, an event this major would normally be in the main show. I do give them points for thinking outside the box on this though.
