Thank You Fimfiction Friends for Helping me While I’m Sick · 9:26pm June 19th
My girlfriend and I caught some kind of very nasty flu-like virus (hopefully not covid) likely in Ireland at my brother’s wedding two weekends ago. For over a week now almost immediately after coming back home to the USA I’ve felt like dirt pretty much. Horrific cough, chills, malaise, particularly nasty muscular and joint aches/pain and a lot of congestion that refuses to go away, and the resulting really bad insomnia I’ve had from being uncomfortable from this as a result.
We basically almost literally haven’t left our Chicago area townhouse for a week quarantining and feel too crappy and in pain to do anything or see anyone during this time (and we don’t want to spread this to others) except for small walks around my neighborhood for my own sanity since I hate being indoors for too long. I’ve basically just been watching random YouTube documentary videos and doing things on my phone on my couch for literally a week straight now and I don’t know how much longer it will last. There’s been slight improvements especially with my cough and congestion but it’s painfully slow.
Even though I haven't considered myself a brony anymore since 2019-2020 and did literally almost nothing here including going months without even being here in 2021-2023 or anything else MLP related despite being an ancient brony and fimfiction user dating back to 2011, my random recent giant increase of activity on this site and talking a lot to both a bunch of new (especially you Tape Deck) and old friends on this site lately has really helped the time go by faster and improved my spirits a bit so I appreciate it. Just wanted everyone here to know that.
Thank you. Really. Hopefully this ends in the next few days I hope. I miss being able to feel comfortable, it’s become quite debilitating and I never thought fimfiction would ever be fun or helpful for something ever again even about a month ago but that’s changed drastically lately.
Well, it really makes me happy to have been able to bring some level on enjoyment to your life, especially while you haven't been feeling well.
I assure you, I am grateful for all you've done for me to the exact same extent.
