    It's official

I had wanted to write something that's bothered me since last night. I've now learned that the last soo line bandit no. 2010 that I shared is officially going to be cut up to scrap. I was really disappointed with this. I had hopped the management at cpkc would donate the 2010 since this is a former milwaukee road gp38-2 but they're not.

i thought i'd share an intresting video · 1:51am Last Thursday

this is a post i thought i'd share. this is from o guage railroading magazine (a series of videos showing model trains like tm books & video and was also another one of the train stuff rfd tv showed in the early 2000's). the video i thought i'd share is named the laruse schemp model train collection located in the thomas t.taber museum in lyncoming county in williamsport pennsylvania.

mr. schemp was an avid model train collector. and the collection he was fasinated with trains as they arrived and departed williamsport. he began collecting and buying trains at local auctions. the collection is vary large you'd be amazed by it. the collection also includes rare items that are one of a kind including prototypes.

lionel trains make up the collection. there's also many other trains from different manufacturers such as american flyer trains, hornby trains from the uk, and a popular item a lgb train that was owned by former president ronald regan. when it was learned that he never got a train set as a child he received many as gifts. because most were more than $50 they had to be turned over to general services administration who loaned this one to the museum for display.

this video just fascinated me with how many trains a man collected. there's also a look at some of the rarer ones in the collection showed by rich melvin.

i hope you guys enjoyed this fascinating video showing this entire collection of trains. (i thought of showing this for awhile and hope it's an enjoyable look even for those who aren't into trains as i am). thanks for checking this out and see you later.
