A question to my watchers and TCBH fans(Updated) · 4:19pm Jun 5th, 2012
Yes, yes, I know, I've been posting quite a bit of blog posts recently. I'll cut back on them after this, I promise, but I have something to ask you guys. So let me start by telling you something.
I have a couple of goals I strive to achieve as a fan fic writer.
1: Have fun with all of my writing. And I can thankfully say that I have achieved this.
2: Entertain others with my stories. And with almost 30 watchers, over 1,000 story views, and a good amount of favorites for both APNSB and TCBH, I think I have achieved this as well.
These are the most important things to me as a writer. I love writing, and I love entertaining people. It's as simple as that. But I have a couple of other goals that kind of go a bit farther than this. First off is I want to at least once make it to the featured box with a story of mine. I actually almost achieved this with A Pimp Named Spikeback. When I uploaded it, it made it to the 6th most popular story on the site on the time......the SIXTH. I was just one spot away, lol. But I have confidence that I can pull it off in the future with a different story. However, there is one other goal of mine I've been thinking about for a bit, and thinking if I can achieve it with This Can't Be Happening.
So that's why I'm asking you to read this. Because you see, my other goal.....is to get a story on Equestria Daily.
Now I know some of you have differing opinions on the site. I know one of my watchers in particular has made a group dedicated for people that dislike it. And that's all cool, because I also agree that the site has its faults. But I just can't help it. The thought of getting one of my stories on the most popular brony site there is, where almost all of my favorite stories such as Silent Ponyville made it on just sounds awesome. Like I said, I love entertaining people with my writing, and getting one of my stories on there would mean I'd be able to entertain a whole new audience of people with one of my stories.
This actually isn't my first time of thinking about getting a story on EqD. Way back when APNSB first got uploaded, the positive feedback on it gave me a surge of confidence. I channeled that confidence and used it to convince myself to submit it to EqD, to see if it could have a chance of getting on there. I waited....and waited.....and waited some more. Weeks passed, and I got no response at all from the site. I went to ponychan and asked one of the pre-readers that was on there at the time what was up. Turns out Seth had auto-rejected my story before it could reach the pre-readers. Why? Because in the description of the e-mail I sent, I forgot to put spaces after the comas......let me repeat that. He auto-rejected my story.....because of a lack of spaces after comas in my e-mail. I knew that I could probably send the e-mail again with the spaces, but by then I started to highly doubt that the story would be able to make it no matter what, so I just continued on with the story without thinking about EqD.
But now here we are with This Can't Be Happening. You may have noticed the last chapter took a bit to get published. Part of the reason why was because someone had offered to make me a custom image to use as the story picture. As thoughts of trying my luck with EqD again with This Can't Be Happening started to emerge in my head, I wanted to wait and have that picture to use for when I submitted the story. Unfortunately, the guy who was going to make it had some technical difficulties and couldn't finish it. Unfortunate, but I can understand, so I went ahead and finished the chapter. So now here I am. I just want to get your guys feedback on this one thing:
Do you think This Can't Be Happening has a chance of making it on to Equestria Daily? They're a bit weary around Humans in Equestria stories, but that's mostly because the majority of them they receive are wish fulfillment ones, while This Can't Be Happening is not. So do you guys think that the story could actually make it through their pre-readers and actually earn a spot on the biggest brony website there is? Or do you think I should wait and try to get on Equestria Daily with Don't Go To Sleep instead?
Edit: So, I'm going to try submitting it this one time. What is there to lose right? Even if it doesn't get the pass, I'm confident that TCBH is at least good enough to where it won't embarrass me to send it to them. If it makes it, then awesome, and if not, I'll try again next time.

submit HiE to EqD and you're gonna have have a bad time.
I'm all about achieving your goals and such,but unless its on the level with say, the conversion bureau they won't give it the light of day.
I believe that they don't allow HiE stories anymore according to the guidelines of their latest system
155936 They don't allow brony in Equestria stories. They DO say that Humans in Equestria are alright, however. So I think This Can't Be Happening is still ok under its rules, but I still don't know if I'll submit it or not.
155902 Noted. I wanted to make this blog for some feedback before I ended up potentially embarrassing myself with the pre-readers. I'll probably wait for later in the week and try to reach that goal with Don't Go To Sleep. As long as I keep the gore in it non x rated, I should be ok
You never know until you try. If they don't give it the review it deserves, than that's their problem and you don't worry about it, try with DGTS, we still love TCBH no matter what they say. If they actually review it well but reject it, tell us, and people can find the mistakes pointed out. If it is accepted, than you can celebrate fulfilling that goal.

155936 If something is amazing enough they'll make a heel faced turn to their own rules and let it in. their a little under handed in that regard.
156104 155902 155936 Just got a response from them. They didn't actually have anything bad to say about it, but they say they still don't want a story involving a human with any kind of knowledge about MLP, even if it's an anti-brony. Oh well, it was worth a shot at least

Well that sucks. It would have been an interesting perspective on the site for everyone to enjoy. But whatever, still an awesome story, so don't give up in the future with any new story you have.
