A list of stories you'll see from me this summer · 4:42am Jun 7th, 2012
Hey you! Yeah, you. You like pony fan fics? Of course you do, that's why you here. Well as I told you guys in an earlier blog, I had many ideas floating around in my head for stories to bring you this summer. Now many of those are on their way to becoming actual stories. So here is a list of what you can expect to see from me this fine summer:
This Can't Be Happening: This story will almost certainly come to its conclusion during the summer. As it is now, it's nearing the half way point. The story is going to get pretty epic as it goes along, and I already have an idea for a potential side story after it concludes. As far as a full fledged sequel is concerned, I'm not sure yet, but this story itself will hopefully continue to entertain you all.
Don't Go To Sleep: My horror story that I've been talking about a crap load, and what I'm currently working on. It's a psychological horror type of story about Twilight trying to figure out what's real and what's not, and if she's able to trust her friends, as she begins to have nightmares about them committing horrible acts that end up becoming too real for comfort when she wakes up. As of right now, it has a Teen Ratings because I don't plan on making it any bloodier than something like, say, Silent Ponyville.
A Pimp Named Spikeback 2: Origins of a Pimp: The sequel of my very first fan fic, taking place 3 months after the events that take place in the original. Explains how innocent little Spike turned into the dragon king of swag. Plenty of hilarity and Boondocks references will be found in the story, with plenty more silly dragon pimp antics taking place.
Untitled Spike/Rarity ship fic: Although I don't have an official name for it yet, after a comment from this dude right here, I got to thinking about how I would do in writing a Sparity ship fic. I continued to think, and slowly, the idea for a pretty solid and touching story began to form in my mind. Now there's no way I can't write it, so expect this D'AAAAW inducing story to pop up somewhere down the line.
Not Just Some Featherbrain: Derpy loves helping people out whenever she can. Unfortunately, her clumsiness usually makes her assistance cause more harm than good. Convinced that the way she is causes nothing but trouble for everypony, she becomes determined to change her ways. This will be a Slice of Life type story written like it could be an actual episode. No dragon pimps, no bloody nightmares, no shipping, just a nice little story with Derpy as the main character.
So those are the stories I for sure am going to go through with and start work on this summer. I have some other ideas, however, but I'm not certain if I will go through with these as much as I am certain I'll write the ones above:
The Rock Goes to Ponyville: Remember that potential troll fic I quickly mentioned earlier? This is it. Basically I just have a crazy idea in my head of The Rock being in Ponyville and pretty much making all hell break loose with his antics when he treats the world like it's one big wrestling ring. It's a silly little idea I have, but I don't know if I should actually go through with making it yet. As far as Troll Fics go, this one would be pretty tame, but I just have some doubts about doing it as of right now.
A second ship fic: I don't just want to try my hand at Sparity, I'm also interested in trying my hands at other ships. Big Mac/Cheerilee, Fluttershy/Rainbow Dash, and Derpy/Doctor just to name a few. But I won't be quick to try my hand at more shipping until I see how the reception to the Sparity fic goes, to get a feel for if I can be a good ship writer or not.
Also, I was actually going to upload a new one-shot today. But the new rules that also got put up today kind of stopped me from finishing it. I'll let you see why:
First!: Despite mod warning about posting "First!" comments, a poor brony still does. Unfortunately, he doesn't realize the consequences of his actions, and is sent to Pinkie Pie to receive his punishment which can include. but is not limited too, being locked up with Twist, Snails, and Snips, being forced to look at bad alicorn OCs and listen to stories about them, and being forced to watch Gen 1-3.5 MLP.
I got about half way done with the story when I saw the blog post about Meta Fics being banned. So I scrapped it. It was just going to be a silly little story to get some last minute comedy out before putting a big focus on Don't Go To Sleep, and give people a feel for some of the silliness and humor that they could see in The Rock Goes to Ponyville if I were to write it. But it's all good.
So what do you think guys? Any of this sound good to you? Do some of these sound like stinkers? Should I actually go through with that troll fic as well? I'd love to hear what all of you think. Well, I'm going to get back to writing. I'm pumped up for my writing this summer, and I hope my stories continue to entertain you guys.
Edit: Looks like "First!" might get to be published after all due to the possible lifting of the ban, under the condition that meta fics can't be featured. I got the idea from this fine gent here, and with the idea for how I want to write it still fresh in my head, I'll probably end up doing this over the weekend.
I'm 100% down with anything with Derpy in it, fuck yeah. and A pimp named Spikeback 2? FUCK YEAH BRO!!! If you do make a second shipping pair, mind creating a Derpy and Rainbow Dash or Spike fic? Or maybe even a Fluttershy and Derpy ship? Can't wait to read Don't go to sleep, that's going to be bad ass, make it as dark hearted as possible please. As for the horror story, sounds interesting, although for me kind of overused. But if you can make it interesting then I'll give it a shot.
The Rock in Equestria? YES YES YES and might a add YES!!!!!!!! You just read my mind. What would really be awesome is if Chuck Norris went to Equestria. I don't think thats been done before, so free game for you.

Any ideas as to the second ship? VinyLight (I've only seen it in 'The 63 Files', and have been interested ever since), TwiMac (because straight is underrated). Well, two ideas for your consideration.

157783 Thanks, and unfortunately there are already 2 Chuck Norris in Ponyville stories on here. But at least The Rock is fair game, and I'm promoting The Rock Goes To Ponyville on my 100% positive list. I'll probably get it done next week or the week after that while not working on TCBH or DGTS.

and yeah, thinking about those and other potential ships, it's hard to decide on what kind of ship I'll try after Sparity. Right now I'm tossing around some more less wrote about ideas, like Derpy/Big Mac. We'll see what happens when the time comes though.

I'm hoping to make it as epic a summer as I can with these stories. I'm pretty much covering the whole spectrum here. Comedy, horror, shipping, slice of life, troll fic. I'm pretty pumped to get started on it all.
