SPOLIER WARNING FOR GRAVITY FALLS SEASON 2 EPISODE 4
I never know how to open these things, I just know I have to remind all my lovely 32 followers that they are indeed lovely. You beautiful lovelies you.
So, anyway, I watched Sock Opera (the newest Gravity Falls Episode) and I'm pretty sure it's my favorite. It's not because OMG BILL CAME BACK!111!!!11
But it's because of the continuity. Bill plays his cards right and gets Dipper and Mabel to do what he wants, and he doesn't make up events. We all saw them and know what he's talking about. I also laughed a lot. One notable thing is that Candy is Korean. Hm. I thought she was Japanese, but nope, she's Korean.
However, my truly favorite part of it that made the episode so freakin' amazing was this scene.
Bill: [As Mabel hands over the journal] That's it. Who would give up everything they've worked for for their dumb sibling anyway?
Mabel: Dipper would. [Yanks journal away from Bill. Wedding cake falls and it ruins the puppet show.]
Liquid pride was shed.

Then they went on hiatus after only three episodes!
EDIT: DAMN IT! I missed it, aw well it's gonna replay on Disney Channel tonight at 9.
But still, I need to be told these things, I freaking missed this!
But yeah, that sucks, oh well, I'll see it soon.

Personally, I think Into the Bunker is the best of the season so far (amazing action, learning things, Dipper telling Wendy how he feels), but this is way up there.
I mean, Bill will always be amazing, I loved how he was able to trick Dipper, but I think it was Mabel's love of the episode that kinda killed it for me, I really wasn't a fan of that guy.
But everything else was just pure gold, like you said the battle with Mabel and Bill where she decided that Dipper was more important was just. Wow.
I also liked the reference to Mermando.
Anyway, next episode comes out on the 22nd, "Soos and the Real Girl," I can already tell it'll be pure gold.
The episodes premise is that Woos is gonna use a dating Sim to learn how to get a date for his cousin Reggie's (who if you will remember was mentioned in Fight Fighters) wedding.
This will only end amazing.
As a side note, I did love us seeing more of Bill's motivation, knowing that whatever in the Journal will let us in on some of his big plans.
Something tells me we'll see him much more this season.

I can see how 'Mabel's Crush of the Week' can bring down an episode. I personally didn't like him much either, but you can see how naïve Mabel is so he obviously means a lot to her. He didn't overstay his welcome and set up a believable conflict for Mabel. I can ignore him for the fight between Mabel and Bill.
Now I'm all up on that hype train. Soos in a dating sim? Oh heck yes!

It wasn't even the fact that he was a crush of the week, just him himself, I really didn't care for (though I did love the end when Dipper was like, "Did he just make out with his puppets?" and Mabel replied, "I guess I dodged a bullet there,") like I said, I enjoyed Mermando, the Gnomes were entertaining for what they were, those are all the crushes that had an impact from what I can think off the top of my head.
Though Candy's reactions were amusing, but she's just a good character anyway (I love anytime we see her and Grenda).
Still overall an amazing episode, though I'm not sure I agree with best so far, the fight scene while amazing just wasn't as amazing IMO as the one from Scaryoke (but remember, I also love zombies), and Mabel's romance wasn't nearly as important as when Dipper reviled his to Wendy.
But what really did save it was Bill, had it have just been done by some random monster this would have been forgettable, but Bill showing some of his skills by tricking Dipper, then reveling that the laptop (which, come on Soos fixed it before, he can probably do it again, I mean you've seen the fixin it with Soos shorts right?) and Journal had the keys to his plans was just great.
Overall, an amazing episode, though I do think Bill's intentional intro was a bit better, and Mabel's crush just kinda dragged it down.
Though I will say, at the start when she pulled up on a book cart, I knew she would fall and it was still hilarious.

True. I did start squealing like the fangirl I am when we finally got a resolution with Wendy. She was my favorite starting out the series while I found Mabel annoying. Yeah, Mabel is my favorite now. Candy and Grenda are awesome, my favorite line from Grenda is 'Grenda has entered the party!' Yas. I suppose this was my favorite episode because I thought Dipper was getting the short end of the stick, and it wasn't really touched upon in the series. This episode cleared up my doubt about that. Imma stop debating now, because some random person on the internet isn't gonna change your mind about these things.

Naw, it's alright, I always love an intelligent conversation, and that's really rare online.
Mabel's always been my favorite, but the crazy over the top, hyperactive character always is for me (or just crazy in the case of Trevor in GTA5).
I think one of the best lines was Grunkle Stan's description of Mable Juice.
Then Mable outrunning Bill since Dipper hadn't slept and she had four shots of the stuff.
Also, when she said,

I honestly expected everyone to think it was part of the act and start clapping because cliches, so I did start cracking up when everyone started booing.
And Bill is just awesome. He seems like a darker version of Discord to me. Pain is hilarious!

Understand, every universe has a version of everybody, Bill is just Gravity Fall's version of Discord, and the different environment made him a bit darker.
It makes perfect sense!
