One last story to tell · 4:09am Nov 19th, 2014
I know I said earlier that I had no plans to write anything else relating to Body And Mind. However, now that I've thought about it, there's one last chapter I want to write.
Queen Papilio, as the successor to Chrysalis, is an extremely important factor that will shape changeling society. It doesn't seem right to limit her presence in the story to a couple of off-hand mentions, so the new chapter will be a scene featuring her.
It won't be done soon - I've only just started it, and I'm busy with graduate school - but it will be done.
woo
One last bit of continuation sounds like the perfect thing. I'll be waiting.
Take it at your time. We aren't going anywhere.
Hooray! I felt like the story could use a little bit of additional "closure" to send it off, letting us know a bit more about how things settled out. Sounds like this will do that.
Awesome!
I'm looking forward to reading it!
The hype is real!
One last hoorah? Sounds awesome.
Do not mistake me, I am really happy, but I hoped you'd be writing again.
Woot! I am excited for this.
This sounds like a good idea and I whole-heartedly support it. It would actually be good to SEE this new Queen and a clearer direction she's going to take her people instead of a vague idea.
I actually recall suggesting in one of my last comments on the story that the new Queen should implement the policy of granting full breeding rights to every female changeling in order to one) stabilize the population as well as to two) introduce a familial system into changeling society. It may not be best to implement completely straight away, but I honestly believe it's something that could work and be to their society's benefit. But that's just my opinion.
I look forward to this chapter when it is completed and updated.
2605889 To clarify, the whole "only the queen can bear children" thing isn't because of any law. It's just a fact of changeling biology in my 'verse.
2606760 Ohh, I see. Okay. Well, if that is how changeling biology works in your story, then I suppose that does make that idea rather improbable. Sorry about that; I'm just rather fond of the idea of changelings having their own families, but I suppose that does come with my much more 'ponified' view of them as a whole. But still, I totally respect your take on it and still look forward to the direction of change that is going to be taken in the story.
