    Tell Your Tale: P + P = BFFs

This week, we've got a... Somewhat touching Posey episode?

Think this would benefit from a longer runtime. I also laughed harder than necessary at Izzy in the very beginning.

Believe it or not, I actually got some chores done today.

And that's saying something, because if Diablo IV was this good at any point last year, it would have definitely been near the top of my Best Games of 2023. You know, instead of being omitted entirely.

So let's just say that Armored Core VI absolutely just got smacked out of the running for Best Yesteryear Game.

    Updates and Such

Well, as a thunderstorm rolls overhead (and hopefully doesn't knock power out), I thought I'd offer some updates on what I've been up to.

Long story short, I'm pretty much in gaming overload at the moment.

You know what we need? · 12:27pm Jun 14th, 2015

An episode full of that. We need a Celestia and Luna episode.

If there's ONE gripe I have with Slice of Life, it would be that I felt they were a bit too heavy on the Doctor Who references. He took up entirely too much screen time, and the "ALLONS-Y" line is what broke the camel's back for me. There's references, then there's blatant crap like that where non-fans are left confused.

Other than that, I just got done watching it with Brady, and it's still epic.

Agreed on both accounts. While I do like the Doctor Whooves thing, I think they pushed it a little too much this time. But yes, we also need a "Slice of Life: Princess Edition" episode. Celestia and/or Luna dealing with their courts, Cadance doing whatever she does in the Crystal Empire (would give us a little more insight into Shining Armor, too— totally wanna see him geeking out in a secret room with his old friends), stuff like that.

The thing is they couldn't reference him directly without getting a copy write claim, so they had to do it with as much references and heaviness as possible so even if it seemed like the doctor, it was still some strange Doc Turner in a house where he studied science and the effect it had on magic.

I fangirled a bit every time he came up, yes, but that is how they had to do it in order to show who he was safely.

I've thought about something like that as well. Like the occasional episode focusing on certain non-mane characters. Not as crazy as the 100th episode but just a little to have some fun.

I like him being Doc Brown instead. Means I can use his canon character without him just stealing the story to focus on his whole time-lordiness.
