    Finally.

I have an excuse for not being able to aim straight.

Will try and get an update or two out soon, but...

...These next two weeks at work are going to be stressful as hell.

I just have to say one thing, just to get it off my chest.

If any of my readers are private health inspectors with standards higher than local laws, I just have this to say:

    That is all.

    Good night.

    Tell Your Tale: P + P = BFFs

This week, we've got a... Somewhat touching Posey episode?

Think this would benefit from a longer runtime. I also laughed harder than necessary at Izzy in the very beginning.

Believe it or not, I actually got some chores done today.

And that's saying something, because if Diablo IV was this good at any point last year, it would have definitely been near the top of my Best Games of 2023. You know, instead of being omitted entirely.

So let's just say that Armored Core VI absolutely just got smacked out of the running for Best Yesteryear Game.

RE2make · 12:00am Jan 17th, 2016

I've been in a Resident Evil mood the past week or so.

After more than a decade of begging and pleading, Capcom finally bowed to our requests, and on August 12th, revealed that Resident Evil 2 Remake had started development.

Were I a betting man, I'd wager that "RE2make" will see it's release in January 2018, for the game's 20th anniversary (the franchise's 20th anniversary is March 22nd of this year).

I'd honestly be a bit worried if the game came out any sooner than that. The announcement gave the impression that development wasn't very far along. Even now, five months later, we know virtually nothing about it. But it deserves a full 2-3 year development cycle, and with how long fans have been clamoring for this, I doubt we're going to accept anything less than perfection.

Some fans are also worried that since the team of the C&D'd "Resident Evil 2 Reborn" fan project have been invited to help, that RE2make will be over-the-shoulder third person, a'la Resident Evil 4, 5, and 6. I share this worry. I'd much prefer fixed camera angles with pre-rendered backgrounds and tank controls.

Now I'm not saying that over-the-shoulder can't work. It certainly could, as long as it's scary and tense. Moreso than Resident Evil 4. I only played through RE5 twice, and I never played RE6.

I'm really looking forward to what they do with the music, as the original had one of the best boss themes...

As well as one of the best escape themes.

I thought about it last night during work, and I believe Resident Evil 1 is the game I have purchased the most versions of.

It is perhaps the only M-rated game that my mom made me wait until I was 17 for. I'm glad she did, because by then, REmake was out for the GameCube.

Sometime later, I was at a used CD store, and managed to come across a copy of Resident Evil: Director's Cut for the PS1. I had a PS2, but no PS1 memory card, so had to play without saving, and managed to make it roughly halfway through before I died (completed the Residence, killed by a hunter shortly after returning to the mansion.)

Those were the only two copies until last year, when I bought Resident Evil HD Remaster for the Xbox One and PC. That makes four versions.
Grand Theft Auto V takes second place with three versions; XB360, Xbox One, and PC).

I believe Resident Evil 2 for the GameCube also holds the record for most expensive used game I've bought, at $46. Metroid Prime Trilogy has second place at $45.

And I've ranted for quite a bit. Think I'm done for now. Later.

If it's even as close to amazing as the REmake was...
Most of my younger gaming days were spent playing the older Resident Evils and Silent Hill. RE2 was the first game to really give me scares (Curse you Mr X. Crows were just as bad.)
Wonder how it'll control with a mouse/keyboard on PC, I'm too lazy to buy a controller.

3691815 I'm playing REmake HD Remaster and Shadow of Mordor with a controller.

Does the grenade launcher glitch still work on the remastered version of REmake?
