Wakes up half through sleep.
Ohhhhhhh now I know why the most recent chapter bugs me. In this chapter she implies a sense of regret towards Twilight taking up the sense of guardianship towards the world, where as in this chapter, she implies a sense of relief. While this isn't exactly contradictory, I do find it just a bit jarring in combination.
I should take that into consideration.
After I finish sleeping.
Goes back to sleep.
I kind of read it as ambivalence. I'm sorry you had to grow up, but damn it's nice to not have to be the one paying the rent by myself
That sorta thing
People aren't consistent, and in a story where time is slip, slip, slipping, they shouldn't be. Nopony/Celestia can change her opinion based on context and circumstance.

I agree, although it's very bad idea to make a assumption that the readers will understand that in writing. Anytime you have to explain anything, you might as well rewrite it. That being said, there has been no issues really, but I don't like pushing it.
Still, I get that nagging writer feeling that I contradicted myself somewhere else in this chapter, and it's going to drive me nuts until I realize what it is.

She grateful that the responsibility has been lifted from her shoulders but feels a bit melancholy - those were good times. Hard but good.
