BronyCon 2018 Wrap Up · 4:38pm Jul 30th, 2018
Today it is my hope that everyone is arriving home safe and sound with fond memories of BronyCon 2018 behind them. This year was a bit of a challenge for me as I wasn't 100% physically well but I did have an excellent time. It was an opportunity to see a very large group of sweet people and hang out with them.
The Q&B community turn out was very high. I believe even larger than last year. Our lunch was packed and we had a lot of support for our panel even though it overlapped with the author's dinner. It was a pleasure to see everyone, meet up, and spend a little time. It was also great to see some new faces and shake hands.
I have a few shout outs. They won't be exhaustive and if I forget you please don't take it personally. I'm still healing, still tired, and doing this out of memory. Now in alphabetical order so as to not prioritize anyone above another:
Amazing Me, it is always a joy to see you. Thank you for being my listener and security guard. You're a gem and will always be special to me.
Bappu, I feel like we got to hang out more this year which was nice! I enjoyed that and hope we'll get a chance to do so again next year. Your costume was on point!
DJ Thomp, it was wonderful to see you this year as your presence was missed in 2017! I didn't get as much time to talk to you as I would have liked (that was on me) but just seeing you was good. You'll always be my disapproving Dad even if you have been more approving lately.
Eagle, it was good to spend time with you. I appreciated your encouragement of us to dance at the Gala and how well you looked after others in the group.
FamousLastWords, thank you for inviting us to your panel. It was super high energy and very funny. You and your companion make a great team and I enjoyed every minute of it. I also appreciated your enthusiasm at our panel. You're an awesome fella!
Iry, you're a cat whore.
Larscis, thank you for making some time for us when your insane schedule and thank you for blowing our minds with the sound and light check. That was beyond cool. It was lovely to spend time with you, chat about networking, and discuss liability insurance. I'm truly sorry we missed the hooves. That wasn't on you, I just needed to head home. Next year!
Majin, nice seeing you again! It was a pleasure to spend some time with you even if I was running off frequently. You looked sharp for the gala!
OctaviaHarmony, I am humbled that you would come out for just a day to see us and some others. That must have been a rough weekend but I'm glad you did it. I realize we didn't talk a ton but I'd take anything over nothing. It was a pleasure to meet you in person and get to know you. I am truly sad we didn't get a proper goodbye. That will bother me for a while. Perhaps next year?
PonyJoe, it was very nice to meet you for the first time in person. I'm glad you decided to come and I hope you had a good time. Thank you for bringing the Changeling game, we all enjoyed that. I also appreciated your commitment to the conga line.
Mitch, glad we got to chat some this year. I want to apologize because I feel like every time we did I was pulled away. At any rate, I was happy to see you and I really hope that big change we discussed goes well for you. You can do it!
Nen, I'm glad I knew who you were! I get so confused with names. I kid, I kid. Good to see you and spend some time. I'm not sure why you did what you do with the royal guard but I shall be amused by it for a while.
Quiggles, oh Quiggles. I hope you know how much I like you and how I miss that you're no longer on the east coast. I am overjoyed that you appear to be right where you need to be now. Be you. Be with people that love you for you. I'm proud of you and you're a beautiful dancer.
Rem, it was wonderful to see you again. I enjoyed getting to know you some last year and this year I think we did even more of that. You're a lovely person and I hope everything goes well for you too. Hope to see you next year.
Sha Z, what can I say about you? You're sweet, you're kind, and you make my wife happy. Hmm... that might sound dirty. You make her smile and you do nice things for us. Thank you for seeing us off to the gala. Thank you for all that you do!
Sun Sage, it was good to see you! I'm we were able to sync up a decent amount and do some of the same things even if I was running off fairly frequently.
Wing, buddy, you're always good. I don't normally trust other people with the same name as me but you're an exception. I'm glad things are working out for you and I'm glad we got to hang out. You're an awesome fella and I'm happy when I get to see you.
And now for some other items:
Aragon, Swan, and Saph. It was nice to meet you all. I realize we don't run in a lot of the same circles but we all share Crystal. I'm glad I got to see more into her world and hang out with some cool folks. Most of all, Swan made a lifelong friend by his lovely stroking of my hair. We are now bonded for life.
To anyone I've missed, I will come back as my head clears and add in details. I'm also sorry to those that didn't have the opportunity to see my costume. I didn't have it on long because I wasn't feeling my best.
Finally, thank you for everyone that attended our panel. I shook some hands but didn't get everyone's names. If you were there don't hesitate to let me know who was who.
I hope to see everyone next year for the BronyCon Finale. Crystal and I are going to build the best panel we can to say 'see you later.' It might be about marriage. It might be about buying houses. It might even be about writing. Only time will tell.

I feel like I should’ve asked a few questions about Tagging properly in your Panel, but otherwise I really enjoyed it. Even if it was SUPER long.
Kidding aside, I will treasure the memories from this last weekend forever. Y’all know how to make an awkward Arizonan feel at ease. I just hope I was able to do the same for you!
I was nice to see you guys again, and I'm making plans for next year.
It was nice touching base with you, anzel, and all compliments in my direction are greatly appreciated.
In defense of the new Bronycon Name, that was the staff design team.
And the Royal Guard trick wasnt supposed to burn me to hard, just mess with the others! 
A well, it was fun, exciting, and I can't wait for next year.
Definitely the worst part about moving is being away from you guys. It was a joy to see you again and I hope that our next meeting won't take so long. Also thank you for putting up with me being an absolutely horrid dancer at first, I like to think I got better from you showing me!
