Alright, No Whinny City For Us · 7:56pm Jan 14th, 2020
Well, I've been trying to get you folks an update, but it seems the writing bug in me has died for the time being. I don't want to push out unmotivated drivel, so I'm working on it when I get small bursts of inspiration.
On another note, Brady and I have decided against attending Whinny City 2020, for a couple reasons. One; the con block discount for the hotel isn't something I would consider cheap, that might come with the territory of being in Schaumburg, which is pretty much Chicagoland's Beverly Hills.
Two, for how much they've been pushing badges and Early Bird discounts on social media, they've got one Guest of Honor announced, and it's a pretty freaking minor one (she voiced Kerfluffle in Rainbow Roadtrip, that's it.).
So instead, we're now considering heading east to TrotCon 2020. Gives us more time to save up and prepare cosplays, and they're six months out and already have four guests announced.
I remember when the "con" portion of the event name actually stood for convention, rather than describing what the organizers were actually trying to do.

It's been quite awhile since the last Unicon or Dashcon, lol.
I know fans attend conventions for all manner of reasons; some like to have parties in their room every night, some come for the swag or the rave. Me, it's about cosplaying and VIP's. I can't justify buying a badge when they've got one minor guest just two and a half months out.
Tabitha St Germain? M.A. Larson? Shiiit...
Can't speak for WCPC, haven't been to that one. Had loads of fun at Ponyville Ciderfest, I plan on going again next year. Handful of decent VIP's, some other production staff who aren't that common at cons. I mostly go to cons to hang out with friends, or in PVCF's case, seeing a cousin in Milwaukee that I haven't seen in years. Charlie seems to know what he's doing, I've faith in him and his team to run a successful PVCF 2020
